Arkfalls: Do not kill the Skitterlings!

I'm going to assume a lot of players play with a different soundtrack or are just plain ignorant, (see above) the difference it makes in removing the Arkfalls is monumental. I actually came across a group of players "killing everything" and in chat one of them was saying "How do we kill these things" add in scrubs driving their awful pre-order boy racer cars in circles around the crystals mowing down everything...well! You get the picture!

To be honest i didnt even know until you posted it, im not being ignorant. Never heard anything about it. Im just trying to sound macho! Sorry :-(

On the larger arkfalls I'm curious to know is there a quicker way to destroy the large flying ones (there are normally two of them)? Sorry I can't remember the name of them. I'm assuming you have to shoot the orange part of them but its not exposed long enough to really inflict any serious damage.

+1 to this! Every major Arkfall I've done people seem to ignore the advice your EGO gives you and proceed to slay everything in sight. I've no doubt that it's just human error, but its frustrating to say the least.

Last night I had a dude in a massive van doing 360s around every crystal I went too - it made taking them down a massive b@ll ache.

It'd be alright if you could easily let them know - but no one seems to see the world chat (I tried typing a message there) - and with the amount of people at the Arkfall I found it impossible to see their gamer tag so I could send them a message.

I guess once the chat/communication in this game has been tweaked a little it won't be so much of an issue. I don't mind spending a couple of mins to give someone a heads up. I'd hope someone would do the same for me if I was making an *** out of myself.

Umm I'm no pro. But in my experience, on the 'destroy the crystals' segment of a major Arkfall, the Skitterlings bite the crystals opening up gross looking weak spots for you to blast. Obviously theres a balance in play between keeping them off you/your team mates, but allowing enough to live to keep the weak spots exposed.

I've never seen one mutate into an Archer or anything. I thought the Archers/Warriors just spawned on timer, like when the EGO lady says "they've brought back up etc".

I was playing last night and some went into a chrysalis stage like a caterpillar to a butterfly but skitter to something bigger. Ivonly seen it happen on 2 arkfalls. You can shoot the chrysalis before it hatches.

Meh I just kill what I want because you need to get on the top 20 damage list for arkfalls to get some decent loot.

skitterling bites the crystal opening a weakness shoot it with powerfull fast waepon and you will get high critical numbers thats for sure

Yep I do that aswell but also kill everything I can, havent been to one arkfall where the crystal doesnt have a weakness as spoken by the EGO. The point is I get in the top 20 quite consistently which I wouldnt if everyone only went for the weakness because then everyone is doing the same damage roughly, by clearing up all the skitters/warriors/archers etc aswell I maximise by damage and kills.
