By the end of the Beta I just drove from Arkfall to Arkfall, then stood somewhere to the side while I "typed" the same message about this again and again with my controller. After the third time usually people stopped killing Skitterlings. I really wish you could save messages so you don't have to go through the Xbox typing disaster...
On a different note, in the Beta (my game got delayed), there used to be Arkfalls with Raiders where you had to destroy the crystal, but no weakspots ever showed up. None of the Raiders were attacking the crystal to create some, even after every player stopped attacking them. And it wasn't one of those Mutant Crystal where the guys with explosive barrels come. What're you supposed to do there?
Chat macros? Could be good or bad, I guess.
And I think they drop fuel tanks next to the crystals that do huge damage to it when you blow them up.
And while we're on this subject, Major Hellbug Arkfalls......
After you destroy all the weak spots on the giant hellbug spore, and after the Helion appears then goes back in, FOCUS FIRE ON THE MATRIARCHS! Once they are down, the Helion appears again.
To many times i see people blasting away at anything that moves while completely ignoring the matriarch, often times, causing the failure of the event.
I used to be an eager Ark Hunter like you, then i took a "soon" to the ear.
I stumbled across my first major Arkfall a couple hours ago. I was pleasantly surprised to see a huge boss monster at the end of it. My only beef with the Matriarchs is it seems like they just about never expose their weak spot.
