what does effect trigger % do?
what does effect trigger % do?
I'm not certain so don't qoute me on this but i would think if it's on an elemental gun its the chance each shot fired has of doing that specific elemental damage
Higher chance to proc elemental effects (fire - burning DoT, electrick - stun + minor DoT, Radioactive - Dmg bonus, Bio- Slow).
its indeed the chance the 'nano effect' of your gun will apply. So a incinder.. flame-gun will have a X-percentage chance to ignite your enemy, the higher the percentage, the higher chance each shot can ignite the guy.
(and for shutguns, each pellet has a chance to proc).
my AR-1216 Gladiator does not have any element affect what will it do if i add this mag that does plus 1.05% effect trigger?
if the weapon has NO NANAO EFFECT.. a plus to trigger effect will do nothing.. (btw.. you can take great guns that lack elemental dmg and add elemental via some mods.)

So then is it better to go mag count upgrade for biological weapons? Or should I use trigger effect?
depends on the weapon and your preferences along with ego build.
imo.. weapons with high crit multipliers, and mostly, with LOW mag count use a + to ammo mod, as you can add nano chance through ego. heavy pistols with 1-5 rounds are a good choice for x1.5 ammo... as are shotties, and, if you can find one.. any + to mag for high dmg detonators or rocket launches, they are usually limited to 2 rounds...

It's and assault rifle with a mag count of 45. So I'm assuming I should go with trigger effect then?
