So i have been trying to wrap my head around this but why would anyone pay a ton more when you can just buy multiple tier 2 boxes. Now sure your spending more scrip but there's nothing really to buy once you have a good car. I honestly cannot figure out why they asking so much for just 2 more random weapons when it should be much less. Anyone know something i dont?
tier 4 boxes can drop mounts and other stuff to. iv gotten orange weapons from it as well.
tier 2 only seem to give blue stuff.
The chance for purple and orange stuff scales with the tier number. The exact numbers weren't released though.
I got a orange gun from Tier4, saldy a machinist synergy one(15% dmg reduction while reloading).
Got orange/full blues from T3 as well. Just greens from T1.
Don't bring a knife to a gunfight. Bring a Rocket Launcher.
I've only done tier 4 boxes, maybe 6 of them by now. 2 orange weapons, lots of purple gear, couple of blue weapon mods. Even though there's only 1 extra drop from a tier 3 to a 4, I don't think I'd be wrong in saying that there's a much better 'chance' of getting orange gear from tier 4 boxes.
But until I see actual numbers on how this is calculated, it's all just face wind!

I have done 6 tier 4 lockboxes 2 from keycodes and 4 from bits my hard earned cash to try and get a decent gun to get to 500 ego and NOT one purple never mind no orangr havent seen amy mods or shields The drop rate sucks imo I only get white resource fodder. Crap guns gahhhh I was so psyched to unlock the venders last night to see pure weapons i can buy but reputation is hard to come by. I dont underdtand why the bosses dont drop anything and I also do not understand why 6 tier 4 lockboxes and not one purple thats BS. Also screw bits spent 50 bucks already and have a freaking outfit thats cool thats it . Should have gotten one gun best gun I found was freaking infector and I dont like them use green shotgun and frc saw mostly would love to see a great AR or SMG or Pistol fav is LMG so I know I wont see those. i do love this game shooting mechanics dificulty they will fix mics and server issues but can they do something about the lockboxes really they seem really wrak for something I can buy for cash or spent at least 6 hrs to get 64 keys to get I should habe gotten one purple or a blue shield at least with 1600 bits .

interesting I have gotten blues and purples out of the 2s but never an orange. I believe only 1 purple and several blues but i have opened a lot of boxes so... I guess I will have to start pony up the keys to get the tier 4 boxes
every tip in game says it's just 2 rolls vs 3 rolls vs 4 rolls...
and no one have been able to post any proof that you get better chances...
from what i have heard, people are still getting orange weapons in the t2 one, at roughly the same rate i got them from t4...
so until we have a dev post stating you have a higher percentage chance for loot in the bigger boxes, not just because of the extra rolls, then don't say it...
its better to go with T3 as you might get more chance and it cost less than T4
tried T4 all i got is 1 purple and 3 blues so i stick with T3
