Starts to launch but never loads

When I click on play, a box briefly opens that says "Client build XXXXXX" and then it closes and the game never launches. I was never able to try out beta because it was doing this same thing then too. I just updated my video driver and its still doing it. Another thread said to go back to an older version but I was already using an older version until I just updated it.

ok got past this issue by running msconfig and turning off everything I didnt need to have running on startup and rebooting. Now I can't load into the server.
