What chat system?

It's that single line of text that flashes up from time to time in the bottom right of the screen. Usually saying that you're bound to a respoint or other since noone see it and the button prompts for chat are on the other side of the screen.

The chat system is straight garbo. The good news in one of the dev blogs a few days ago Trion acknowledged this and said they are working on a solution. The bad news, no ETA or even what the solution is. Still lost some points in my book for letting this chat system make it to the PC release client...in an MMO. It was beat up on pretty hard in Alpha and Beta.

Did you turn off Voice in the options? This also disables the chat.
Turn it back on and you have a temporary work around until they do something about it.

Hmm.... I didn't know that it would turn off the chat completely. It'll get fixed, just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one.

Hey, don't be bashing about people who like to chat.

Yes, the game is a shooter, it's point, shoot, and go. But, some of us like to have friends we can talk to, get to know other people. The other people are not robots that just walk around, but real human beings. They are worth being known. I for one, would love to get to know them, but with a chat box like this, it's hard.
