Blur users need a melee weapon, a permanent one...

I say why the heck not? Why not create a few melee weapons that are activated by simply pressing the melee button. Like a futuristic katana, hammer, knife, electric batons etc... This would really add a extra layer of awesome to the game, these weapons would not need to be over powered or one hit kills or anything. I see these weapons doing the same amount of damage that is done by hitting the melee button now, hence why they'd be extra special in the hands of a blur user.

    Like in Warframe?

I'd like to have that kind of melee weps, I've been using my shotgun butt to smash their head

I agree, we need melee weapons. But they should give melee bonuses. Running around with Blur would be so much more fun with a sword or knife slicing enemies up than running around bonking them with my gun stock.

If they add a skill that increases melee damage they really do need to add a melee weapon.

I am really glad you guys are with me on this, I truly believe it makes sense.

Exactly! They give us all these skills for playing a melee character(shield recharge, ammo refill, better drops, more damage in blur, more damage while shields are down, move faster after a melee kill, etc.) but then they just tell us to go and use the generic gun butt melee over and over? Melee weapons should be one of the first things they add, heck not only are they in the game with enemies using them, they're in the show too! They should have the shortest range but swing faster than the normal gun butt/pistol whip melee and do more damage.

If the weapon is only active when Blur is active that would make sense.

All they need to do is add a graphic for it; and base the damage off your existing weapon.
I say this because you can already get weapons with +Melee damage on them; and it'd be a relatively easy thing to do.

This question has been tossed around for months on interviews and diffrent things helps to search but the response every time is this "We feel this isnt needed or will it be added this is a shooter and we dont wish to take away from that "

They really should have thought about that before giving us all of these melee things. Give a gamer a taste of something, and he'll want the whole thing. This happened in ME3's MP. Bioware gave us a an option to increase melee damage and a heavy melee, and because of that people wanted more melee focused classes and eventually we got a class who's pretty much soul purpose was melee(the Shadow) and more weapon mods that increased melee damage. Hopefully Trion will see the demand, realize that A. people want it and B. it won't take away from the game that much. I mean, they're worried about taking away from it being a TPS, but people are already running around meleeing things with Blur and all the melee perks.
