Is anyone else tired of the error message "Your online session with Defiance has been temporarily timed out"?
What is that? Last night I was kicked from playing five(5) times in less than one(1) hour.
I feel like I have to rush thru the game thinking I could be kicked any second. I like taking my time with quests.
I haven't been able to play at all since I purchased the game. Four days now of Critical: Your connection to Defiance servers has timed out. No intro, no character creation, nothing. I'm pretty upset to say the least.

Nope, PS3. And no word of what it might be. Everytime they say they have fixed the problem, I still can't connect. Frankly I'm pretty damn pissed. I keep saying I'm going to return it and I keep waiting. Today's the day to decide. If it's still like this when I get home from work, I'm washing my hands of this horrible experience.
I feel you man, I honestly have no idea what the issue might be. Where do you live? Out of US countries usually have more problems with US servers. I am in Boston. You should try deleting all of the saved data from Defiance on your PS3 (including patch/updates) and see if re-starting the processes fixes it.

Thanks, but I've tried it already. I will try it one more time tonight and then that's it. I'm in Florida. I have friends playing it on PS3 as well. I can't for whatever reason. Restarted my modem/router and my wifi extender. Nothing works. I sent a ticket into Trion and they still haven't responded to it. The funny thing is that they say they will respond within 24hrs.
You should stick out this mess - honestly even with the bugs it's a VERY good game. I was pissed launch night, but they've already sent out another patch yesterday that fixed some major issues.
See, that's the thing. If there are new patches, they never show up/ download for me. I just don't know anymore. The premise and gameplay look great but.......
Thats so odd you can't access anything - I read a post from someone that their disk actually came scratched, unopened. You should look into trading it back for a new copy. I know it sounds crazy, but you could have received a bad disk. Explain to Gamestop or wherever you got it from that it's beyond a software issue and it could be the disk. I think Gamestop has a return policy of 48 hours, but they should be understanding because you bought a 60 dollar game that doesn't work. Simple as that.
I don't think it's a disc issue. It's a server issue. I should be able to connect to the server if it was a disc issue.
