Although the jumping seems "off," initially, I would rather it be a limited double ifcheck, i.e. "can you jump onto the area, y/n? can you stand on the area once there without sliding/falling, y/n?" than have freakin' bunny rabbit targets jumping all over like pogosticks in pvp. The latter was what killed my interest with many shooters (like Battlefield) when an enemy would be bouncing around like an idiot while I would be "attempting" realistic firefight tactics. The way it is at present pretty much removes jumping as a decent defensive tactic, imho.

As far as mouse toggle application, I had figured out within 5 mins where this was when I wanted to look for it. The reason for doing so was to see if I could click on another player's avatar or name to see if there was any sort of interaction pop-up menu. Silly me trying to find out if I could send a directed Tell...

Group dynamics are only part of the clumsiness that is the social aspect of the game. Ironically, there are quite a few things in place for them, you just have to dig through the console type submenus to do so. My clan found out yesterday how to join a group member who gets phased into a mission, normally leaving everyone behind. Why no pop-up for something like this too (Your group member has entered a mission, would you like to join them?)? We learned this by sheer accidental discovery lol.

I am having a lot of fun but I had fun with Tabula Rasa and even Auto Assault, both of which Defiance reminds me of, and we all know where those two ended up.

    THEY KNOW!
Of course Trion execs and devs know. I even left a comment of my own to ensure that they know they risk losing customers and earning a bad rep.

Can't there only be one rant thread. Come one guys, we get it there are issues with the game. The moderators wouldn't dare close all these threads because of the whole "YOU CAN'T SILENCE ME" thing, but come on. Let's all try to work together to shut the hell up.

    Customer Service

When I launch Defiance the login in screen shows up. I then type my info and log in. I then click on the update button and it checks for updates and then says play. When I click on play it just sits there and does nothing.

That was my prolem and this is the response I recieved.

    quit playing already

I bought the game thinking "well if it's a disappointment at least I have supported Trion"
I am an avid Rift player but Defiance is a huge enourmous disappointment
    - lack of social interaction
    - and the mouse issue that has been discussed previously.
I learnt my lesson, wait for comments, THEN decide if the game is worth buying.

Funny I have a lot of fun in this game and it's one of the rare games that makes me want to complete most pursuits.

Haha, those DO not get read. I have proved this, exploits I reported months ago still in. It took them until last patch to fix a simple one that if any dev actually read their forums or bug report would have noticed it long time ago. Basically /bug in game goes no where and will not be read.

What? Please explain in details how it doesent do a good job of explaining your objectives. Unless you have an IQ of like 20, i think it does a damn fine job of doing it,seeing as its insanely simple to figure out, Shoot **** in the face, turn off generators, push random buttons on computer terminals. every objective is on your damn screen, telling you where to go exactly, and its actually VOICED too...Actually to me,since i can figure things out for myself,i feel the objectives do a bit too much help,as i'd rather use my brain, and figure these out for myself, instead of the game holding my hand the entire time

Very simple, the game tells you to go to an area and finde something, you find it and try to press it, but you cant as you did not kill the mobs at the front gate, becouse you did not come in to the area from the front gate, and the game do not tell you that you have to go to the front gate and kill those mobs.

That is bad design, not telling players. Having to solve a mission in the way the devs want you to, but not telling you what way that is. also it takes away freedom to sneak/kill gameplay and only leaves kill all gameplay left. Now all mission dont work like that, but some do.

Hmm this tread lived long then I said in first post...

    lol, dafuq?
