A couple of days ago someone who claimed their weekly gift late mentioned that this had happened so I guess it has now been corroborated. Trion should have waited until after the event was over before implementing this. Or the least they could have done was be transparent and announce that this was patched instead of waiting for people to find out by themselves. With all of the bad feelings that have been created by the buggy release of expeditions you would have thought that they wouldn't want any more reasons for people to get upset.

Trion was aware of the problem before-hand, that's the reason for the non-tradeable gifts in the first place. However, instead of fixing the claims before the event they did that patch job because they said that the people who would work on it were busy with alcatraz. Apparently they had some free time before alcatraz released.

I actually think they do want older players to get upset and leave the game since its obvious that their servers can't carry the load. That's probably what they understand with " fixing server stability ".
I guess it's more profitable to sell dlc's to newcomers.

Lol this is right, veteran players who already paid 300€/$ to this game cant buy anything (cant give trion more money)
