Yes if your close while someone is doing a mission random and so on you get a share just like you helped. Thats why forming a true group isnt really needed in open world just tag along

Which I see as a problem. I ran into quite a few missions with at least 5 ppl sitting idle at the beginning. The mission was much harder to finish but I did it anyway thinking who cares, everyone goes afk...but guess what...The moment I finished, they drove off as if they completed it themselves.

The system is complete garbage in that regard. The game is fun, but I certainly don't feel that these quests scale properly. You don't do anything, you should get no credit.

Other quests have the same issues. people leave the late spawning mobs up so before I can even start, I have to clear the ending enemies of someone elses quest.

lol, I love driving through an area on my way to a mission & suddenly getting a "Mission Completed!" screen with a few keycodes as I blow through an area where people are doing a quest.

That needs to be fixed. This has been a problem for other games in the past, which is why new games that choose to learn from the mistakes of others manage to avoid this particular problem. Eventually there will be people AFK'ing around mission areas everywhere, because nothing screams "tempting" to most players more than getting rewarded for zero effort.

Been noticing afkers alot at some strategic spawn points that while those points are relatively save, adjacent side missions spawn on a regular basis and people just soak up the benefits there of.

Devs can easily find em by just seeing where people are idling for extended periods of time :P

Unless they do something to code it out there's nothing to do about it. Players who are AFK aren't breaking the rules. They're not being good members of the community, but there isn't a rule being broken. And there could be players in there who legitimately are AFK as well (especially close to a spawn point) because their dog threw up on the carpet or the baby grabbed a pot handle and had boiling water spill on him.

Make no mistake, I agree with you but I'm fine with free stuff until they fix it
