TERRIBLE DESIGN: Remember the Alamo Event

The title says it all. This event/mission/whatever you want to call it, has got to be the worst designed event in the entire game. What could be worse than an event where you have to face endless enemies, that can number 20+, probably more like 30 or more, have to hack 4 terminals that can be brought down extremely easily, with no cover, and worthless bulwark allies.

You can commonly see the bulwarks running in place, stuck in areas, or just unable to kill the most commonplace enemies.
Of course with the terminals you have to deal with more of Defiance's terrible design choices, like being unable to hack a terminal if you get shot. I can't tell you how many times I'd have the terminal down to about a tenth of a second before hacked, and then a stray shot would hit me, nullifying the entire hack.
You can try to cloak, but it is worthless with hacking, since you IMMEDIATELY become visible again. It barely even works for losing aggro.

This entire event is terrible, and even worse, it's been this way since the game came out, and you could do the event. What has it been, like 2 years since then? It still hasn't changed.

This is the kind of design choices that made me declare Warframe one of the worst designed games, and most disappointing, and yet Defiance wants to take it's place.

It took an HOUR to FINALLY get the terminals hacked enough times to win the event. I killed 490 enemies in that time. I hated that mission, and am reconsidering uninstalling this game once again, all because of that one event.

Secret Technique: Your mission objective is not to kill Dark Matter, let the Bulwarks do their jobs.

You know the reason We Remember the Alamo, and Presidio La Bahia... We lost the Alamo and La Bahia... It was a rallying cry to remember the fallen who died to help set the Texians free of the Authoritarian Mexican Dictator. I find this being difficult fitting, and a correct homage to the history it represents.

Oh I really loved that mission. Even though it is difficult it is possible to finish it. But that made me remember the mission very well... I did it twice again to help some mates, but it was not as much fun as when I soloed it.

As I said in the post, if you'd bothered to read the whole thing, the Bulwarks were useless. Even with them grouped around the objective area, there were still 30+ Dark Matter. Any time I wasn't cloaked they were shooting at me. I'd have to try to clear out a section of the dark matter, to attempt at activating a terminal.

At my most diligent, and using the best weapons I could select, it STILL took me an hour solo, with 490 kills. It was the most boring, and frustrating mission I've done so far.
If I'd let the bulwarks "do their jobs" who knows how many more hours it would have been.

At the same time we have Trion announcing they're going to be shutting down the servers in 5 minutes. That's when the frustration went over the top, but in the last moments, I finally got a terminal that put me up to the end. I skipped the cinematic, collected loot, and logged out. Then I went straight on here to complain about how frustrating that whole experience was.

I'd done it in the past when the game came out. I did it again tonight. In 2 years time, nothing had changed.
Clearly it's not meant to be soloed, as you need attention focused elsewhere, which I assume was the purpose of the bulwarks, but they failed miserably.
The other problem of defiance, in general, is that in 1 hours time, NOBODY came through that area to assist with that mission, or needed it themselves. An MMO, that is a ghost town.

i use this event to level my bolt action along with blur/cloak/decoy skills so i could get those pursuit . i did it 2-3x and each time i had way over 1k kills. but you have to remember if you dont shot at them and let the worthless bullwarks take there aggro . only then they will not shot at you untill you get a completed hak done and just move on to the nect terminal. and hope they are still busy with the bullwarks.

last time i was there i had 1998 kills and had to call in help from my clan to get it finished so i can get my score/loot which was great. i was super tired after that 1 lol but yeah those bullwarks dont do anything good at all. but stay in 1 of the busted up building and just snipe, i use a volge lighting rifle cause of the AOE dmg it does.

but far as being soloed or not? it can be just as long as the threat lvl doesnt max out and you dont mess around way to long. cause the longer you mess around the more will show up and the harder it can be soloed and finish, i know i have done a few times

If you wanted attention directed elsewhere you probably should've used decoy. It sounds like you brought a knife to a gunfight...right tool for the job and all that. Can't blame the game design if you don't use appropriate tactics. It's not meant to be easy but you do need to try using all tools at your disposal to get the job done.
