No love for the medic!

Playing a medic outside of an instance is pretty much a complete waste of time! In arkfalls you get nothing, not even a thank you for keeping peoples shields up and bringing them back from the dead!

I have played a medic character on many different occasions now and it's just not worth it!

I do it because I like being supportive, rather than in expectation of rewards. I get those lots anyway.

In beta, if you healed the whole time, you always would come out number one on the leaderboard at the end. Now it's the opposite.

if u revive someone thaey probably haven't got the time to type 'thankyou'...what does it matter anyway...its a computer game. I don't think anyone should be playing a medic in defiance, just revive people if u see them.

Absolutely right! Same here!

I always play a healer class in all my other MMO's, though in this one something is definitely missing, it just feels pointless with instant respawns and no death penalty bar a few hundred scrip loss!

I agree with you.. All you get is an achievement for helping 5 people or something like that. That isn't enough, especially when healing people makes you completely vulnerable.

Real medics do their job to help people and usually don't look for praise.. i guess this translates into this game lol!!

Don't get me wrong, I appricate the fact someone wants to run around with a ghostbuster gun and help out that way. but i'm not gonna invite a random into my party chat because of it. 1 Arkfall = 20 minutes of time, may never run into that medic person again. 2. if the same guy/gal kept showing up all the time and in co-ops they'd get an invite or a thanks message.

just remember 99% of the people out there, don't care and they're in it for themeselve.. IRL and the Games :P

The game isn't balanced around needing healers, which is probably a good thing over all. If Trion want to, I am sure they could enforce more of a need in instances and such, but that's by no means a given.

A reward/standing in Arkfalls would be nice, however.

It's not that people don't WANT to thank you, I appreciate every medic that gets me up. Blame Trion's sketchy MMO Chat. lol

Also, typing with a controller without a chat pad would probs take longer than the arkfall. :P

more of a pain in the arse than anything else... considering going into the chat message leaves your character there to get killed n all lol
