Do you keep progressing in weapon skill when the XP of the gun is full?

Not sure ... some people say you keep progressing others say you have to equip a new weapon!

    Anybody?

When weapon maxed you need to change the weapon.

Use another weapon or do no bother that you down level up in sniping until you get a new one. Really nothing to do.

I thought they changed this for the live game where even maxed weapons still give exp towards the skill.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

We keep going back and forth on this:

During Alpha/Beta, if the weapon damage was maxed, it did NOT add to the weapon CLASS level any longer, and there was talk of a way to reset the individual weapon bar. I've never seen or figured out how to do that.

Supposedly, since launch, the weapon damage bar can be maxed out and you STILL gain class xp. I'm testing this currently with my AR, and my AR level is still increasing (at 5 now), even though the weapon damage bar was maxed out at level 3. I have no other AR's in my loadouts or in my inventory. This is using the Firestorm that comes with the ego training bonuses from the ark codes, which I'll probably STILL be using at level 5000. Not sure if this is a bug, or what the Dev's came up with in response to the massive feedback provided on this issue during Alpha and Beta testing.
