So sad. What's the point of finding the perfect weapon when you'll have to toss it once its capped? I really hope the devs allow weapon skill progression on xp capped weapons in the near future.
This thread is tl;dr but in case it has not been clearly 100% stated, your weapon class does NOT go up when you're using a maxed weapon. I have refused to accept this for the longest and now I'm at 600 EGO rating and lvl 2 snipers... I use snipers A LOT.
Guess I'll go with that one guy said and have 1 loadout with my weapons I'm using now and 1 for lvling weapons... They should let you spend scrap or something to reset an weapon's level. My sniper is lvl 120 something, my shotgun I got at 96... best guns I've seen in their respective classes.
