Matchmaking

Hello, i just started this game and I am around lvl 100, but when I m trying to play competive i get matched against guys who has around 400-500 lvl shields and guns, there is nothing i can do against them. am i doing something wrong or is just just supposed to be like this? I shouldnt connect to competive matchmaking before my equipment hits lvl 400??

I would stay out till your ego 5000+ its very unbalanced and you need good guns and a shield.
