    Ego level 351...

So... Defiance is a nifty game but I have some issues.... Wanted to see if Im wrong on some points and can get corrected.

    1. At 351 I still use a lv154 saw.... weapons damage doesn't scale...
    2. Due to point one why buy lock boxes?
2.a or raid for that matter after the initial experience or maybe helping a friend?
    3. Already beat the main storyline (which supposedly I guess new content gets added per TV episode?
    4. If 3 is true why make this an MMO? they may as well made it a Co-op multiplayer game as it will be play beat done next season play the new stuff for season 1 beat done repeat...
    5. This game has the 2nd least amount of content and 2nd fastest beat time as far as MMOs goes... Star trek online takes those terrible 1st in my book.
    6. If there is no weapon scaling no reason for raids why a 5000 ego cap?!?
    7. The PvP I find to be very enjoyable! (can't wait for CTF)
    8. And sweetfx does a good number to the environment as this is a console ported game the graphics are eh but whatevers.

    1. Weapon damage does not scale, but mods and synergy being higher level will affect your weapons.
    2. Buy lockboxes to get better quality weapons, like purple/orange with synergy.
    3. Try doing the sidequests, they are fun and give good xp/mods.
    4. You still have dungeons and sidequests, also challenges.
    5. See 4 and 3.
    6. See 1.

As for #2, you could always get lucky and find one with better mods.

366 EGO atm, haven't beaten the game yet.

Currently I buy lockboxes for better socketed weapons, otherwise what else is there to spend currency on?

    2. You will find more variety in weapons the higher your EGO gets. Things like shot guns shooting slugs or grenades and not just plain jane spread shots. You end up with a collection of weapons per type that you can swap between depending on the situation.

For the rest of the points, I guess play for the story as the show progresses and then just because you enjoy it. Not really a gear treadmill like WoW where the point of the game is grinding for gear.

    1. damage increases slightly
    2. Chance of getting rare items the higher the tier of the box, higher tier higher percentages (don't just think orange items, think purple and blue)
    3. And?
    4. because doing things in large groups is fun, be it pvp or arkfalls, there is also leaderboards
    5. If you think this game as the 2nd least amount of content, you I'm afraid have not played that MANY mmos, in fact I would suspect a very tiny fraction of them to make that kind of statement!
    6. See answer to 1
"There's a single letter difference between winner and whiner, which are you?"

"Experience is another word for that time I stuck an Apple Pie in the microwave for 2 minute and then took a bite out of it! Experience teaches me NOT to DO THAT again"

As far as weapons go, the game is a shooter. It's relying on your personal skill, not game changing weapon damage.
And content... this game has a ton of content. All kinds of stuff to keep busy. The story continues alongside the show, which was a selling point of the game.
Forum folks are freakin' me out with the NOW NOW NOW I WANT IT NOW attitude toward content when the entire idea of the game revolves around waiting on the show.

You can always buy all vehicles there currently are in the game. It's quite an amount of cash that they cost.
