During a large, say 50+ people ArkFall, it can be very difficult to spot someone crawling on the ground. Which is why I think that there should be a different icon for downed/bleeding players, so they can be easily spotted on the minimap.
Maybe even give everyone the -option- to enable a sort of "call for help", say a holo-exclamation mark, that would appear over dying people's head, to make them stand out.

I agree, it would be very helpful especially since we don't know if they have a self-revive on standby or not.
Some form of indicator would be greatly appreciated. I have had ppl run right by me because they didn't notice (or didn't care).
One would think the flashing was obvious enough. I have a feeling even if it was flashing red neon on the screen people would still ignore it.
