Grouping and guild help

Hello.

Can anyone help me out with some info

I would like to know how to add someone to make a group, does the player need to be in sight or can they be the other side of map, how many can be grouped at same time etc..

Also how to I join a guild, do I need to be invited?

I haven't looked at the friends list yet but is it just a matter of adding the players caratures name?

I am really enjoying the game so far, and has spend most time learning the combat mechanics, weapon modding and perks etc not had much time to play around with the social side of the game :-)

well they dont have to be near you if your friends with them them e.g PSN friends it just matter of use the quick options on the D-pad and go to friends.but if your not friend with the press select then L2 then got to the social tab and find friends add there in game character name and that will add them to your game friends when they accept it
