+1 for that, PC's are defiantly funner for playing games on. Nothing can beat a PC (there are no cons when playing PC) unless your worried about price. But even then it's call get a seasonal job or donate plasma or something to pay for it.

there are plenty of cons. just like consoles have cons. swings and round abouts.

New hardware to upgraded every so oftern which tends to set you back alot of money.
No such things as rentals on P.C , I hate paying full price for a game that takes me 20hours to complete..
My fan does my head in, keeps rubbing on case hardly a con but anoys me sooo much.
Windows vista i got W7, but still that vista was so nasty.

Not really many cons on pc, But the price is most deffo the big one.

Either way i will most likly get it on both, but for the start i will get it for 360, i have more then enough MMO's on pc as it.

money, reliabilty, most people dont know how to maintain, incompatibilty problems, location, physical space needed.

off the top of my head, where as these may not be cons for you, they are for alot of people.

There are rentals on PC you just can't get them at stores its all digital. And steam has some amazing deals on games to usually 40-80% off around holidays. And you only really have to upgrade your graphics card every 2-4 years which you can get for about $200, so the same price as a console which usually last on a year or two anyways since there built cheap unless you never use it.

And @ Dead_Phoenix, Unless you don't know how to take care of a pc it shouldn't be unreliable. And maintenance? you only need to dust it out every so often and maybe run a virus scan or something not that hard. Don't know what you mean by location but physical space is no issue when even a 3TB hdd is only about $120, where as $130 for a 320GB HDD for 360. Talk about over priced.

Plus you gotta think most people have to buy a new console almost yearly depending on how much they use it since they use such cheap parts. Where as for PC they last forever I still have a computer that runs windows 3.1 and it still runs fine although I don't use it anymore.

Edit: Gamefly and direct to drive both let you rent PC games.

Yeah steam has fantastic feals, got a fair share of games from there, and i use love film , it cheap as hell when you think of it, tho the range of games could be better,
My graphics card straight out the box was buggerd, but i suppose that luck of the draw, i got that short stick.

And im only on my 2nd xbox since they come out, so i've still spent less on them then i did for my p.c but your point is valid it takes a very long time to ware down a p.c compared to a console

ofc they get unreliable. im an IT consultant, my job is fixing peoples/business machines. i make a good living out of how unreliable pc's are. people dont do proper maintenance i mean running virus scans, keep drivers up todate, removing old files etc etc, cleaning out the box of dust, i would say barly a week goes by without someone breaking there machine by downloading dodge cleaner X or physically breaking the heatsink trying to clean it, or worse still using high powered vaccums inside the case. and alot of these people are the ones buy games, and fund the market.

by physical space, i mean having a pc tower, monitor, the table etc. alot of people do live in flats or homes with no room for this stuff. a console will fit in most peoples units under the already exsisting tv. and yes i know pc's can on most modern tvs, but like i said this does require an understanding which alot of people dont have. consoles pnp so easy.

and buy new consoles yearly? only decent gaming worthy ones would be xbox and ps3. they came out along time ago. unless you mean hand helds but there nothing to do with this.

like i said this stuff isnt cons for you, nor me. but were not talking about us, im talking about the average person, these are all Cons they would mean a console would suit better.

please dont get me wrong im not saying a console is superior (christ weve been down this road so many times on this forum alone) im just saying you statement of "there are no cons to pc" is a little inaccurate. they all have pros and cons which effect a great many people

People who play on there console often like 4-8 hours a day usually break every 1-2 years like the ring of death and what not. And they do have mini ATX cases that are the size of a console look at the new steam box coming out this year or the alienware console sized desktop and I think a few others are working on similar computers. And I don't see PNP being more difficult on a PC unless you have an older OS, I know the new windows 8 when I did a clean install everything ran perfectly apart from graphic drivers. I didn't need to download anything unless I wanted the hardware's special software like control panels and settings. I can't speak for anyone else but I don't think I have ever had a virus before nor do I know people that ever had unless you love downloading **** or something. lol
