A tip for Character Creation (for video makers mostly)

I have been watching a lot of gameplay videos on youtube (I'm assuming that they have permission to put them there) that shows the first 30-60 min or so of the game and the character creation process.

I notice that 99% of all video makers miss the top bar when they make their characters. This bar is where you can change hair, hair color, eyes, facepaint and various other things.

So for future video makers and streamers, please pay attention to this bar (it shows up after you have picked class and archetype etc).

I guess all of us should remember this when we make our characters in the coming months

Not to come across as "shallow" but I'm probably gonna spend way too much time editing my character, lol. I wonder though if you will be able to go back at any point and edit your character.

Very few videos seem to have any real permission to be posting videos. If they are, it's likely an NDA violation. You might want to shoot the links to the dev team and see if they can't fix that.

That said, I'm guilty of not noticing it myself the last beta. I wont go into details (NDA and all), but it certainly is up there and not very noticeable.

Aye, I thought it was a bit wierd with all the videos since its still in the NDA. All you need to do is type "defiance gameplay" in youtube and filter for recent uploads and you'll find quite a few. I don't want to rat anyone out, but Im sure the devs knows how to use a searchbox

I missed the bar myself during my first beta test too. I'm glad that I noticed it for the last one, my character had some messed hair and had to buy the head gear to cover it up.

just found out i missed the bar too. As did my wife.

Good to know its up there but yeah, maybe making it more noticeable would help.

It is a little bit tiny that bar, I guess just take it slow and easy so that you dont miss anything
