Clearly the supposed 2% of people hardcore farming coops is causing some kind of distortion/revenue issue for Trion, and I don't blame them for doing something about it.
The rage is stil more constructive than a yes, unfortunately.
I just wanted to remind you something, since you like numbers. 250AF/week is 35AF/day. It's a really small cap. Really. So you can't farm, but you barely can play either - think about the next event, you can get 35 af really quick.
Without cap you d'ont need PP, you don't need alts, and we don't all need to be you. This is the alternative, lol.
And second point, who cares about the 2% players, really. When you forget about the 98%, then yes, all you can see is rage. But you can fight rage with cat gifs !

Edit: Ok this post took a very long time to submit, and now I'm late, loL.

More active players are also more likely to have leveled/geared alts, or to run PP, or both. There will be some people affected I am sure, but it sounds like nearly everyone thinks they will be affected and I don't buy that.

That is just it. It was not a failure. They knew it and they were planning to use it against us, just like they did the first time.

Except this time, they figured if they included new systems into the mix, and released these systems in the proper order, that nobody would realize what had actually happened.

Really though if they see a problem, and all you do is insist that the problem doesn't exist and therefore nothing should be done (and many people are doing it far more rudely than you are), are you that surprised that no response is forthcoming?

While this is true, there will be no way to know for sure how many it will affect. We can't expect everyone to have disposable income. The alts don't have a way to trade the stocked Ark Forge so bringing it up is kind of a mute point.

Using arkforge on alts is more difficult, but hardly impossible. I don't do any rarity upgrades with my mains.

Will the af limit affect what you get from lockboxes and daily supplies? Or only what you can farm from the game

Alright, I'm back on my desktop and off the phone.

Well, 1000 is enough, it's not really a restriction.
You can't "farm" reps, you use them as soon as you can and you only need 100/200 of them to buy a crate. Nothing's wrong here.
I'm talking about the amount of Rep that you're limited to, per week. In case you didn't notice, VBI allows you to do 1 Weekly and 7 Dailies for a total of 120 Rep. This is another form of a weekly cap. Patrons are allowed to gain more than the players that don't pay, sound familiar? The only reputations in the game that you're allowed to farm all day every day are 7th Legion, Thorn Liro, and Echelon. I've complained about this several times before, on principle. It has nothing to do with the fact that you can get a box once a week and that makes it ok, because that would mean that they'd simply have to set some function achievable with AF as a goal for the week and that would make it ok to use whatever arbritrary number they come up with.

You're right, this is probably going to happen, but we can still try to change it before it goes live.
That's why we have a forum.
And they do listen to us, sometimes.
You guys appear to disagree with the idea on principle. I personally said 500 AF a week would be more acceptable and agree with the idea of a cap of some sort, just not 250. Some of you guys are arguing against the instatement of the cap and it's not going to get you anywhere. Also, they listen to us when the ideas aren't going to directly affect projected income, in case you didn't notice.

The issue is they are giving the AF currency more versatility, but making it hard to accumulate any sizable amount to do anything with. I don't think the idea needs to be scrapped, just modified. 250AF a week is setting the bar a bit low to drive up PP sales.
