xbox patching nightmares

OK, am I the only person that can't get online and play because every time I start defiance it tries to download numerous patches that

1) take f***ring ages to download, I mean seriously at least 4-5hrs worth of slow downloading to date and I STILL can't play
2) the patches then suffer a critical failure and it all starts again.

I know that this is a ground braking game for Xbox but seriously I'm ready to take this back to game and demand a refund as in my opinion I've been sold goods that simply do not work. I mean I'm already sick of looking at the broken bridge in the background on the start screen as that's all I've seen!

Is anyone else on Xbox experiencing this - I'm in the uk

All jokes aside, this has not been my experience. Patches load up in a couple of minutes.
