Experiencing my first 'mmo' with Defiance

Im glad your enjoying it so far! but...
You need to experience 2 or 3 different MMO's for Example: (PS3) Dc Universe Online and Defiance - Dc is Super Hero / Villain and Defiance is a shooter for the full effect of the MMO power. Also theres so many bugs in Defiance because its only just been realised but Dc Universe Online has been out 2+ years and Most of the bugs are fixed, theres a whole load of DLC and More things in the game. Wait a year and then see what Defiance is like. (Play it the whole way through)

HAHAHAHA I respect this actually as I DID get long winded and tend to drone out things like it! Just saying how much I'm enjoying this game, looking forward to actually LEARNING how to be a better FPS/MMO player, and basically saying that the 'haters' out there need to chill out because the impact of new releases and their problems aren't a new thing...been going on for a while.

It is my desperate hope that this is the type of community Defiance brings to PS3 gaming! I hate the trash talking basement heroes shooter games always seem to find a following with and my excitement with an MMO (first timer here as well) escaping that mentality! I wish you the best success in this seemingly great adventure!

It's the community that makes a mmo great or terrible. Even the "bad guys" that troll on forums bring something to a game like this :-) I remember some of the trolls in SWG, complaining about the nge, broken mechanics etc... Yet they stayed till the end with 5 active accounts lol.

This game can be huge if you start getting players forming friendships, I remember doing missions in swg about 10 times over, the mission it's self was boring but it was fun because I was doing it for a group of players that might of been having trouble with it.

Mmo's change all the time. My hope is one day crafting is added, not just modding. Who knows

This is a great thread. This is also my first MMO type of game and I'm loving it! I'm at level 195 now and my weapons are starting to pack a punch. Arkfalls have been fun. But I really want to get into a group of people that plays a few nights a week at least.

hey N00B, LoL glad u went for it. truth be told, this my first true go at an MMO. I'm a SYFY fan & the concept of the game , universe, & show sounds/feels promising. & the game is fun & beautiful. So I'm BroKeN if u want to run round gain Exp., EGO, & better weapons.

As far as console goes this may be the first that succeeds where others have failed. Not MMO per say but MAG and DUST are kinda. MAG lost support and was quickly overrun by glitchers and DUST...well lot's of promises for a game thats been being developed for almost four to five years and CCP hasn't really delivered. Loving Defiance sooo much better than DUST!!
