I have Defiance tide up with Steam and use Steam to take screenshots
Open steam
click on library
click "add non steam game"
add defiance.
Launch from steam
take screenshots.
Could try linking the game to Steam and then it's just F12 and you upload them through Steam once you're done with your play session.
Alt+enter then print screen
I'm sure they have a screenshot function built into the game, as well as a way of hiding the UI. Marketing would have demanded it, and all those development shots on their webpage showed up somehow. They just haven't given us a way to access it.
Can you do screenshots for xbox 360?
On a PC I have yet to take a screen shot in game. I put a ticket in to make a folder called Screenshot.
I do not have Steam and we should not need a 3rd party program to take a in game screenshot. I am sure Trion is working on it

BTW, you don't need a 3rd party program, there is a Fn button called Print Screen on your keyboard. You press that combo, open your paint program and paste it and tada. But who wants to do that.
USE STEAM, that simple.
I can can do screenshots on my pc. just hit the printscreen key then open up my paint program and paste from the clipboard then save the image.
