    Infectors and recoil

    I have been thinking about this all week. Do infectors really have recoil? I know they have recoil and melee stocks. I picked up a canker yesterday without a stock and fired it. Then attached a Bio-Stabilizer and noticed no difference. Does recoil come into play at longer ranges ~30m or is recoil and infectors a myth?

    I ask because I see a lot of players in zone chat actively seeking t4 recoil stocks for their infectors and I think they could achieve same results with an Eviscerator(Melee stock) of the same synergy to just light up the synergy.

    Please advise me on this subject.

    They do,but it is incredibly low(not as low as a Wolfhound but lower than a VBI SMG)
    Defiance is gone. Gamigo has been "not neglecting" the game for over a year, yet there's nothing new except for low effort arkfalls and bitshop items.
    I know it might be hard to quit a game you loved for years but you have to understand that it won't get better. Ever. If you like the game in it's current state, then sure, keep playing it. You're enjoying yourself after all. But if you aren't, don't hope for a better future for Defiance. Because it won't come.

    I concur with WhiteStrike. The reason being is that injectors have a degree of homing built into them. This is affected mostly by range rather than recoil, as you saw when comparing the difference. You will see some drifting for the gun when holding down the trigger but the closer you are to your intended target, the less of an issue this will be.

    You'll see a noticeable lift with high fire rate cankers/invaders. Recoil stock is preferred but a melee stock will work in a pinch.

    The problem Defiance has with weapons is they adopted a one size fits all solution that isn't really a solution at all. In fact it just creates more stupidness, (I just made that word up) frustration and confusion.

    Ideally, each weapon type should have their very own synergy pool and mod types that actually work with the weapons they are found on. Some mods and synergies don't do a darn thing on some weapons, the worst offenders being infectors and BMGs.
    I play the PC version of Defiance and I do not PvP, ever. Understand that all of my comments are from that perspective.

    Not sure if my post was clear, but to reiterate: Brutal works with BMGs, I.E. the synergy provides an actual tangible benefit.

    Try getting two OJ BMGs with Run-n-Gun. Not one of the 4 bonuses does anything on a BMG.

    [1]: +5% Movement Accuracy
    [2]: +10% Movement Accuracy
    [3]: +10% Accuracy and -10% Recoil at low health
    [4]: +20% Accuracy and -10% Recoil at low health

    The other synergies I can think of off the top of my head, half the bonuses do nothing for BMGs.

    It's too low to really make a difference. Recoil stock is a waste of a mod slot. Melee stocks on infectors all the way.

    I don't melee, so I'd rather have the small difference anyway.
