Alot forget that these areas are designed to be close to the ego that your storyline would be at. Which would be a hell of a lot more then sub 1000.

Simply put take a new character sub 1000ish ego and put it in content that came out 2 years-ish after the starter content at the beginning of the storyline is ( where the lower ego would be) and well....
or how about remove dailys/story line mission from areas that a lowbie shouldnt be at yet? just remove said dailys from it. or they need to rerethink what they are doing in sv...

I agree they need to work on the rewards, was at a monolith in sv last night, we beat it with ~30s on the timer. It was really close to failure.I enjoyed the challenge, i think the game needs this kind of difficulty, but 45 min of fighting dm for 3 blue guns, kind of yh, never again lol.
And good luck trying to get everyone organized, using ego boosts at appropriate times, etc...
I agree if we need an army of well organized high ego arkhunters to take it down in a fairly decent amount of time, well, good luck.

Ps: We called it Sponge Bob-olith, i think it fits

Yes, the thread is about Silicon Valley.
I enjoy fighting the Monolith everywhere else.
I play the PC version of Defiance and I do not PvP, ever. Understand that all of my comments are from that perspective.

    Sv Sucks atm....enough said.

It doesn't need adjustments it needs a major rethink.

People are going to go there when the storyline missions take them there. The storyline from the way new people in my clan are saying they get killed and can't complete things needs to be properly balanced or have more filler to get them equipped enough they can do it.

Already had a couple ready to quit when they hit missions where all they did was die a lot and get nowhere. That isn't fun and the game needs new players to keep $$ coming in.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I enjoy the new challenge of the place, except for the monolith - it is too overpowered. I rolled up to one, got out the vehicle to be hit by a missile and died. Healed myself and was instantly killed by another missile before I could even get a shot off. Waste of time trying to kill it unless you have a large number of high EGO players willing to spend the time.

The reward for spending time to defeat the incursions is minimal. I do it for the dailies and weeklies. Havent been rewarded with any weapon or mod that isn't vendored as soon as possible to clear my inventory.

    Suggestions

1 - tone down the monolith so that one missile shot doesn't kill and make it less of a bullet sponge.

2 - increase the rewards so people who the spend the time and win feel they have been rewarded for their time and effort

These aren't hard things to change and the players at all levels will appreciate.

For all of you guys complaining, the difficulty has been lowered and rewards have been reworked, on PTS. All you guys have to do now is sit tight until those changes are ready to go live.
