I used to play a MMORPG called Runescape a few years back and they had something called a Grand Exchange where players can buy/sell stuff to anyone on a given server and set the prices they wanted for the items.
I was wondering how everyone would feel if Trion Worlds developed something similar to that. Like one big vendor/trading area where people can buy/sell/trade their mods/weapons/shields.
Someone can put the item they want to sell inside the vendor (the seller's name could be shown) and put the amount of script they want for that item or select the item they want to trade it for. The weapon's ego, stats, rolls, nano etc. is shown to the players who are interested in buying/trading the weapon.
PrymeMinista is selling a Legendary FRC Quick Repeater for $80,000 script. A player willing to buy it can then put $80,000 script into the vendor to retrieve the weapon they just brought. The seller gets a message telling him someone brought the weapon and he can get his payment via the cart (where all players get their daily/weekly rewards). If multiple players are selling the exact same model, the buyer can select and choose which item he wants to buy from the list of sellers.
PrymeMinista is buying a Legendary VBI HP-6 Wolfhound for $65,000 script. The buyer must put the amount of script into the vendor that he/she is willing to spend on the item and the seller is willing to accept for said item. The buyer can also choose the ego lvl, synergy, nano, and tier of the desired item. If a player has the item that is currently being sought after, they can select the name of the person they want to sell the item(s) to.
PrymeMinista is trading an Epic Recoil Buttstock IV (Scavenger) for a Epic Proximity Overthruster IV (Assassin) or a Strain Mitigator IV (Quartermaster). This allows players to trade for the complete set of matching synergies for their preferred weapon of choice.
When a transaction has occurred, an in-game message can be given to the player who has their items purchased, bought, or traded for and the money or items can be claimed via the menu.
Anyone care to add any other form of input?
This will make trading/buying/selling items far more easier than using forums or in-game chat, as players don't have to be online to get the items they need.
