I wouldn't get this game if I were you, the score has already fallen to 7.8 and is still falling down.

Do you seriously base your enjoyment of the game based off of reviews? Reviewers aren't always correct, and they are sometimes biased.

what he said, im kinda stuck with my ps3, and pc order as their digital no refund download copies, i cannot unbind them (well ps3 i can via unbind the system, but for pc im screwed i can only use it once and link my account, via my registration code) outside of that i returned my xbox 360 copy. Not worth risking another red ring of death, heck xbox 360 barely sees anymore use since halo 4.

    Where to start...

To say the least, I haven't gamed like this in years. 12-20hr sessions with very little sleep before work. Skipping meals, and delaying restroom breaks...lol. I've read that some other users are having some problems, but my experience has been extremely smooth. I'm also a long time (15+ yr) MMO player, so the minor annoyances don't phase me. I beta tested Rift, and played several months after launch, so I've seen first hand how amazing Trion is with fixing issues and ironing out bugs.

    Get the game... Do eet!

Have to say I fully agree, I havent enjoyed gaming like this since the early days of everquest. Sure it has its initial problems (although I personally haven't experienced what others are reporting) but I would say that Trion is on the ball with sorting these problems. This is a new test for PS3 having this amount of people on one server at any one time, and in my opinion it is handling it very well.

The scope for this game is massive, so I would say that anyone with problems, stick with it and see what happens.

you've never played MAG< or DUST 514 have you? With well over 30k+ users all in the same spot (or on the same server) simultaneously* and coexisting with one another (or a 256+ player map) that works flawlessly (as far as i've seen on the ps3 platform (ref* MAG* online servers)) or DUST 514 (Co-existing on separate platforms, but on the same server system, and both sides able to communicate within their limitations and still enjoy the game, both voice and text chat*). Ill presume thats a no... But as with the massive deployment of the game i do agree its a fun game. Reminds me of the initial release of runescape, a massive mmo that supported up to 2000+ users per server, and upward after further server tweaking (solely relying on java and shockwave*)

Why are you wasting so much time trying to convince people they're wrong for enjoying something you don't enjoy?

I've played Dust and while yes it runs smooth, it is also a very different type of game. Servers do not have more than 48 or 64 people in them at a time (have they released 64 player servers yet?). I've never played MAG but I'm pretty sure it's not an MMO either.

Just because a game is a shooter doesn't mean it's the same as every other shooter out there. You need to compare defiance to other MMOs, not shooters, because most of its technical issues are related to it being an MMO, not shooter.

If you don't like the design choices developers made then that's fine - but you're still wasting time trying to tell people they're wron because they don't choose MAG over this.

as above. yes there are some problems, are they fixable? yes, when? asap.
ps3 myself, MAGS sucked. never tried Dust.
PC MMO player for 10yrs, and I know the heart aches of lag kicks, or timed out errors from said pc an now my ps3.
But I am prepared for them, yes it pmo when I have to power off by pushing a button or unplugging. But hey, the time I have played Defiance is great, an as was stated in a month or 3 wks, if we are still seeing the same whining, complaining, an OMG! This game w/e! then we go from there, not base our playtime off other trolls an tools who think cause they need to be "heard" on a forum.
to those of you telling this person to take it back. do us all a favor? Take yours back an delete yourselves off this forum. Much thanks, kindest regards, and please gfy ~mJ~
