It was designed more towar5ds pc users but if you have a keyboard for your console as I do it's not so clunky.

Pc users do it all the time on other games. This is no different. I use my mini keyboard on my pad but nobody replies anyway. If you a decent typer youd be only stood still less than 30 seconds. Just make sure your in a safe place before you type.
