difficult isn't the word near impossible is closer to it, i've just beat him, used overcharge, a shotty, flare gun and chipped away at him, his second phase is the hardest by far. keep at it and you'll find your rhythm

This one is definitely hard, luckly I got it on the 4th try because I got the rhythem(I guess you should say?) When he yells out, run behind a pole so when he does the fire bombs they dont hit you, and whe he teleports beside you do the same, run on the other side of he pole. When all of his adds come out, just burn them fast, they go down fairly easy, and keep repeating that. As for the floors, when those shields come up destroy a few near a pole then watch his red dot, once he teleports behind you get on the other side of the pole or he will get you, make sure there are no shield things around or they will blow up and kill you.
I would help but unfortunately the inside missions are solo only. Best of luck to you.

Ahh, it posted twice, WTH? Please ignore that 2nd post of mine, my PS3 is lagging I guess :/
I was a bit disappointed by the toughness. I wish I needed at least one other person to help me : /
He is quit a bit easy to kill once you get his pattern down. Actually....I had a harder time on that lock guy.
Can you fight him with more than one player? I beat him on Thursday and I only used the healing gun.
I don't believe you can face him with other players.
My advice:
Make liberal use of rolling to the side. You can use that to mostly avoid his orange/yellow blasts when he fires a few at you, panning off to one side. Keep away from him overall, and, if possible, keep the edge of the walls between you when you are healing during the first stage of the fight. The big issue is this, though: When he charges up with blue energy to charge forward and slash, dodge to the side IMMEDIATELY. Do not wait for him to dash. As soon as you see him charging up, get the hell out of the way.
Personally, I fought with TWO BMGs, so that when one dropped down low, I could switch to the other. These do not have to deal with any shielding or anything on him, no matter what the life bar looks like. Just zap the hell out of him with BMG life-suckers.
In the second stage, when he sends out multiples of himself, try to stay to one side of the arena, using posts as cover. Zap toward the group of multiples to be sure you hit the right one, which the BMG will do nicely. When he vanishes from the ground and multiple appear above you, put your back to one of the far-end posts and destroy the two of him that can "see" you from where they are. The post should block the other shots, and taking out those will stop them from shooting you. You can also leap over their blasts to avoid damage if you are not able to take them out.
In the the final stage, use the central "column" (the one he sometimes gets inside) as cover, roll a lot, and blast him with the BMG when he is visible. Keeping the column between you will help avoid his move where he blasts his "cannon" style blast in all directions at once. When you see him leap and charge, be ready to jump right before he hits the ground, preferably with something between you, to avoid damage.
Overall, the key is patience. This is a long, drawn out fight, with three stages to it. Slow and steady is better than quick and dead.
