Ambush perk in PVP

Does anybody know if Ambush (+9% crit dmg against enemies not engaged in combat) works in competitive PVP? I'm trying to sort out which perks are good for PVE and PVP so I can customise my loadouts accordingly.

Hmm im unsure but im thinking no purely because you know when an enemy npc is not in combat stance when hes just walking around guns lowerd unlike in PvP and in general avatar animations always seem to have that "ready" look about them so im thinking this might not work in PvP.

Ambush works against any target who is in your map range but not RED on your map. Easy way of working it out

It works against NPC's who are aggresssing other targets that are not showing up red on your map too, tested
