season 2 episode 1 inside that bunker

Hey all.. bit of a noob here, started playing last week. I have a character with ego score about 340. I don't have the best weapons available but both my loadouts have blues and one purple with all mod slots filled. When i go into the bunker to work on the Tranquility virus mission, i get completely annihilated. After i get through the first round of guards, the next two are just two regular dark matter guards but i cant even wear through their armor before I'm toast. Do I need to abandon this until I find way better gear or am i just doing something wrong? I appreciate any wisdom you can lend.

You'll deal more dmg with weapons nearer your ego.
If you have weapons that you enjoy using you can use arkforge to upgrade them to your level.
Also use weapons with a nano to help break armour plates and shields.
I always tell new players to use bio, it cuts through the plates and then use whatever you want after to take down the shields and heath.
There is a bit of a learning curve to the game and it won't all fall in to place straight away.
But if you've done the season 1 playthrough you must be doing something right.

    Thanks Bentu!

I appreciate your reply. Ill look for some weapons that have nano effects. I have one that deals electricity but didn't use it too much in there since it doesn't deal as much direct damage as a couple of my others. What you said makes sense, thanks for the advice.

Oops, I just learned something based on what you said, Bentu. I went and looked at the rating numbers of my weapons. Two of them were below 100. I had no idea what that meant, so i did some research. Looks like that might be part of the problem. Let's try this again, this time with less dying! :-)

Glad I could help and you're not the first that didn't realise it.
On the whole you'll find this place helpful.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the Season 2 "star" missions are all a series of three missions. The first two of each aren't any harder than normal enemies encountered in their areas. The third and final mission in each set has the difficulty level artificially raised quite significantly. Unless you are very skilled, trying them solo at anything under EGO 2000 will be extremely difficult. Trying them solo under EGO 1000 is pretty much a straight up waste of time. I can't remember if you can take them with a group or if you have to take them on your own. If you can, I'd suggest taking them with a group or wait until around EGO 2000. They will be much less frustrating that way.

Yep. I got some weapons closer to my EGO level and put mods in. Upgraded my sheild as well. It helped but i'm still getting my bacon handed to me halfway in. Haha! Thanks for the info fellas.

I thought I remembered it the opposite way around, it was relatively easy on your own but as soon as someone joined you it ramped up the difficulty.
It's been a while and I've only played it twice so I could be wrong.

The missions follow the same difficulty as Coops. They can be soloed or done in a coop fashion.

    Generally speaking:
    Standard-Threat Level 3 (10-1500)
    Advanced-Threat Level 6 (1500-3000ish)
    Expert-Threat Level 10 (5000+)

Having people join shouldn't amp up the difficulty. If he's a low ego, I doubt you'll get random 5k egos joining and even if they do, they get debuffed to 1500 ego.
