You're going to run into a fire-and-reload DPS issue with that idea in comparison. You'll gain the Fire DPS but have to reload more often than someone that uses a natural Fire weapon due to the lack of the +20 mag. For every 32+ that they fire without interruption, you will end up firing and reloading your base mag twice. You'd win DPS if the target dies within your first mag dump but lose to a natural nano in any situation that lasts longer.

Yes m8.using a crit gun on wm armor is dumb =p. Gotta destroy it first. I think wm armor is entirely different to the normal npc armor that crit bypasses.

Even before the Armor Hardpoint is gone, it takes Health based damage so your Fire automatic weapon is still doing the most work. The WM's Shield and Armor Plates are temporary benefits, so there's no point in using a weapon nano full-time to remove temporary benefits.

fire is only good on npcs with no plates or armor , you have use bio or rad to rip plates off 1st , the fire numbers are great and all on paper

When the WM fight starts, how long do his Armor Plates actually stick around? You can throw a Bio grenade and get the same result from everyone shooting him that one Bio user would bring to the encounter. His health bar takes the longest to empty out, so the nano on your weapon should be planned around what does the most damage to that.

That's true. I tend to find 1 to 2 mags is all I can even get off at the wm before he jumps back down from the roof.

And, in use. Don't forget in use.

But, of course, it is circumstance specific. I usually roll with rad, but Black Cat beats the JPWC in use, where you'd use a Wolfhound. You actually just have to try the guns to feel the difference. I was surprised when I tried my BC as I didn't think the difference would be so large.

Even when the Armor Plates regenerate, you can Bio grenade him again if the Armor Hardpoint hasn't been broken and if it has, ignore it since the crits will naturally rip his Armor Plates off through brute force.
