Also for those who don't think this game is super broken, it just started me in a race with no car... Had to wait 40 seconds for the race to realize and allow me to restart.

The only issue I had with the time-trials was lag.

The gates wouldn't always appear for me, so I had to give up and try later.

And I've not done enough of the main quest to go over the bridge yet, so not done the last couple. Gold in all the rest with no trouble though.

Seriously, you must just be good at driving games, do you play many?

As i've said before, it needs to be appealing to those that don't, they can't give us half-arsed terrain and expect non-driving game players to get silver/gold.

I used to, but no I'm not particularly good.

Other than lag causing the gates not to render (or as you just posted, not even giving you the vehicle) the only slight issues were event spawning on the track. But they are a temporary issue.

Obviously use a controller if you have it. Analog steering is much better than digital (keyboard = A pressed or not pressed, joystick = turn speed decided by how much you move the stick).

The top times for each trial are well above the gold requirement, and well above my time too.

so after one pesky restart where they put a DAMN truck right next to one of the last checkpoints in the lap that happens to also be surrounded by a swarm of giant hellbugs...4:59!! lol phew...and i even screwed up the end of the second lap and had to turn around and hit that stupid checkpoint b/c i barely missed it. could have probably scraped by with a Gold.

I used that same ATV. I feel like if i was to use one of the dune buggies, which have higher top speed, it would have been a little bit easier due to some of the long straightaways...just cut the inside right corner on that truck at the end to hit that ill-placed checkpoint. that's what was troubling me and good luck!

edit: also, if you're using that crappy dodge pre-order car that could be your main problem. i dont believe its suited for off-road. i havent used it since day 1.

I've been using a controller (PS3) and so far I've only had problems with one race. Though after trying it over and over for an hour and a half I finally managed to get gold. I even beat the previous #1 on that race leader board by 3 seconds.
The next day I log on to find I've moved to #3 and the new #1 had beaten my by 3 seconds.

If you have problems with a race, go try a different one. Staying at the same race for extended periods only gets you more and more frustrated. Frustration leads to mistakes.

Practice. The game hasn't been out a week yet, don't expect to be getting gold at every race this early into the games life. After I did that one race for so long I went on and did three more races, getting good on my first try for each because of the practice I had gotten.

I am always 1 second shy of gold had this happen 15 times before raging to play some war thunder. Don't get me wrong I like a challenge but as the OP said DEM TIME TRIALS! /fliptables

Yea, and if that hadn't happened, you obviously would have gotten gold in the time trial.
You're super amazing at playing gaimz, but this one is just so badly designed that it won't let you get gold.

Why even start a thread about this shtako, man? Just practice and get better at the game, or don't.
