now that i got that out of my system Nefs comments do deal with spawn campers... most spawn campers use extremely op explosive weaponry and by reducing the damage they can't really insta-kill (yes CoD reference rite there XP) you as soon as you respawn... now people who snipe others as soon as they leave the spawn area aren't technically spawn killing (when imho they are) but Nef is saying that this update will prevent the majority of spawn campers from doing exactly that... spawn killing

Kinda hard not to die when you're getting spawned killed.

Just keep pressing "jump" while waiting to spawn. When you do you won't die immediately...jump out of the area, then shuck and jive your way to a safe spot then kill the spawn camping bastard...good times.

You can avoid being instakilled by doing what I mentioned in my previous post...I've done it myself so I know it's possible, and far from being a great pvper...but if I can do it, anyone can.

It's not whether a weapon is or is not OP, but rather if the person wants to be a punkass spawn camper or not...anyone can spawn camp if they want...but it's a ****ty thing to do. WEAPONS ARE NOT THE PROPBLEM...PEOPLE ARE!

In Shadow Wars at least it would reasonable to make players unavailable to be killed while they're loading.

All it takes is a tiny amount of lag in em and you're stuck on a loading screen while your player is on the map and if you know where to look you can easily camp certain areas for players stuck loading.

Also theres the whole ****ako about players being able to get into the other teams spawning area in Freight Yard.

Its not difficult in the slightest to do but fortunately not many players do it and the ones that do are usually easy enough to take out, In doing so though it takes people away from fighting for A, B, and C.

No, people spawn kill for 3 reasons;

1. They're an a**hole

2. They can get into the spawn point

3. Trion aren't doing anything about it

I challenge you to find more than 10 of Nef's 4200 posts that aren't about nerfing guns in some way...it's mostly under the guise of balance, but balance is always equal to nerfing of guns or shields or synergies.

Sorry, Nef, but it's true. I've gone back through some old threads from 2013 looking for info various topics only to find more of your nerf threads. I'm not saying this game is perfectly balanced, but that nerfing everything that isn't a peashooter isn't the answer. Just saying..

Exactly... that's why I don't see any change is coming to pvp with all the pvp testing that's ongoing on pts.

You can scale health, incoming damage, damage reduction as much as you want but it doesn't change anything if the weapons itself are not balanced for pvp. People will use exactly the same weapons as before it just takes a lil bit longer to be killed. Which is to be honest a bad move for beginners because they only had something like a "surprise" effect against the "pros" which will not stop to use RLs, Boomers, P2W Blast Rifles...

If Trion and the "elite" would be really interested into a change regarding pvp, they would finally adjust weapon attributes for pvp and pve... so basically different effectiveness for both modes. Then we probably will have also shotguns which are actually better than a pistol for pve... nerfed to death due to pvp in the past...

Balancing something means either something needs to nerfed or something else needs to be buffed. I'm up to nerf things because buffing usually leads to "out-of-control" situations. I get it that a majority sees a huge harm in nerfing things but that's because of ignorance and arrogance. Making damage numbers higher is always welcome for the folks... easy casual gaming, that's what they want.

This tread sounds like the national gun control debate. Two different views. To me it is real simple, spawn campers lack character and think killing fish in a barrel is a good time. Weapons are not the issue, people are the issue. If a spawn camper thinks with more kills they are a good player, then good luck with that. Mostly I believe that they are more trolls and get their jollies by harassing people. The more you complain the happier they are. The way the game is currently set up, you are a soft target. Does all of this sound familiar.
