Ok, I admit defeat. Dogtown Mine has kicked my ***. Now what.

Between last night and this morning, a good 3 hours of trying to get through this instance without success. I can't complete my main mission and that many hours of the same duuuuuuuuun dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuun have all but driven me batty. Now what. Am I done?

What happens if you can't complete your main mission? Can you get a different one?

You can't. The biggest thing they'll do is nerf it. Just practice, slow and steady.

Is dog town the one with the dude that u have to shoot the fuel pack on hus back to blow up the main boss guy a few times? If so there is a box at the furthest left end of the map that is perfect for hiding behind and when the flamers spawn ur behind them take a assault rifle with semi auto and a scope. You jus have to be fast in getting out to hit the boss. Also if ur mad about dog town wait till you fight the last boss nim that dude aint no joke.

if this is the mission that grants u acces to the mother loade. its not hard.

now i know this involves flanking and actually moving and aiming.

and use cover.

i completed the main story missions. and well if u cant do this one your never going to do NIM

Just shoot the flamer dudes on their backs, but don't kill them. They'll go blow up and the boss will be vulnerable for a while.
Phase 2 he jumps down. Just kill him like hes a tanker. Piece of cake

Stay behind the right fuel tank thingie (Rosa taunts mobs by the left one). When a smelter comes to you, roll forward while he's throwing flames, hit him in the back with melee attack, go back to cover while he goes boom under the boss. Shoot the boss with your best ranged weapon. Repeat.
Rosa will taunt the other buggers out of your way.

Using a sticky detonator helped me take care of those pesky mattocks, it was a lifesaver.

I don't know if they have a threat/aggro mechanic like they do in MMORPGs, but I did try that and she didn't hold aggro. The bastads still came around my tank and fired on me. Frankly I've done it so many times I don't want to go back in. There must be another way to just not do that one.

use grenade launcher and a sniper. easy fight :>

Easiest way I found was to melee the little guys. Makes them fall on their face and expose their back. All I did was hide back in the farthest back center cover and melee them as they came back, then watch them run off screaming. Easiest boss fight period. You'll occasionally have to shoot some other mooks that get curious enough to come back, but a good grenade launcher or automatic weapon should do the trick. I used a sniper/smg loadout with cloak for this fight.

EDIT: I can't remember if this is a single player mission or not. If not then I'll help out when I get home round 8:30EST.
