DEV: Please discuss voice chat in ps3

I know last patch fixed clarity of voice chat. But what is the plan or timeline for fixing the entire feature?
Works good I'm group of 2, anything more it becomes broken. Upon entering a instance it doesn't work. Changing to clan chat/group chat it doesn't work. I know you guys at Trion have your hands full, but for someone like me many of the issues I've come across are bearable. But the lacking of voice chat is the worst for me. I wanna be able to communicate. Any info in this would be greatly appreciated as I haven't heard anything from anyone about the issue being addressed. Not expecting miracles over night but, some discussion from Trion on the matter would help.

Much agreed. Clan feature seems pointless atm. When you can't communicate very well anyways.

I believe they mentioned this in the blog. And the date for the patch being the 15th.

Ok thank you for response. Its hard to determine official need from what's mentioned in forums. I gather that update is like the person said before on the 15 th?

Having both a PS3/Xbox/PC platform for playing games, makes me feel bad for you guys playing on PS3 with all the voice chat issues. I know how important it is to be able to communicate when doing co-op missions and such..... I love my PS3 but for me personally, having the cross game voice chat of the Xbox is a must for the types of games I like to play.... I hope they get all the PS3 issues ironed out soon....

Unfortunately I wouldn't get your hopes up. If you remember Sledgehammer was the one in beta forums say it was fixed for final game. Its really hard to believe anything he says. As for it taking till the 15th, why? Why do we have to wait I know most people I play with would expect it o be dne quicker than that to offset his misrepresentation during the beta.

yea,hopefully it gets sorted out (thanks for the update Sledge) last night I teamed up with this dude,and the voice chat was working perfectly....we then recruited another ark hunter and got him in with us,only to have him not hear us,nor could we hear him.

I'm confident this will get sorted out....remember,those of you that played Battlefield 3,the VOIP didn't work at first either,but got sorted out,so I have confidence this will as well.

Gotta love TeamSpeak and/or Ventrillo. I know not everyone has his or her PC near their consoles or a smartphone to run it on, still it's a good replacement for now for the people than can use it. That's what I'm doing anyway.

If you weren't aware, all patchs have to go through certification by PSN, which can take from 2-4 weeks while Sony tests out said patch. Same for DLC. Plus each patch costs the game company upwards of 40k.
