DEV: Please discuss voice chat in ps3

If you weren't aware, all patchs have to go through certification by PSN, which can take from 2-4 weeks while Sony tests out said patch. Same for DLC. Plus each patch costs the game company upwards of 40k.

Actually no I didn't know that. But to go along with that Sledgehammer told us during the beta forums that it was fixed for the fine game. If that was true why wasn't it a day one patch? In my opinion if they knew it wasn't going to be fixed because of money time constraints,etc. They should'nt have repeatedly said otherwise. If yuo read most the threads on vice chat you will see there is always someone stating they were mislead by Trion. It would've been transparent to say voice chat will be corrected in first major patch after release. Or refrain from saying anything at all

Gonzo it may be your internet provider, router etc, in conjunction with trions devs hence why others are hostile to you. hell buying a new router; switching ips may fix your voip, here and now with trions voip system on ps3. I have friend who has a t1 connection with a SD NOT HD Hardrive, & voip works but im not paying for that quality. so Trion will have to work to include customers who have less quality in connecting to their servers/systems

To tell you the truth to put in context his statement is true of in house testing of mics, & for three platforms, they work but cannot handle the stress from issues caused by internet providers, routers, regions.

hope they improve on the text chat system. it sucks soo bad.. like other mmo games.. they had whisper,group chat,shout, etc.. i mean come on EVEN PLAYSTATION HOME HAS A BETTER TEXT CHAT SYSTEM LOL.

Today I never had any voice issue yesterday was like the worse one we ever had all day.. Got tired of quitting game so I just turned it off. As long as you guys know people r experiencing voice chat issue then am all good.. Just make sure something is done quick about this.

Unfortunately I wouldn't get your hopes up. If you remember Sledgehammer was the one in beta forums say it was fixed for final game. Its really hard to believe anything he says. As for it taking till the 15th, why? Why do we have to wait I know most people I play with would expect it o be dne quicker than that to offset his misrepresentation during the beta.

Agreed and wish i knew it was bs i would of got for 360...
