I heard a term for it once. They are called "content locust" and are found in every MMO ever released, and will most likely show up in every MMORPG that's ever going to be released. Just like locusts, these people devour all the new content as quickly as they possible can to satisfiy their hunger, then complain when they run out of content too soon. When they finally get more content, they devour it as quickly as they can, then complain when they ran out of content again. And again. And again.

Maybe there's less content in Defiance than in most MMORPGs right now, and maybe not. But what the OP, and people like him, should try to remember is that the game is more than big enough for "most people" as it is. This isn't a game you are meant to "complete". It's a game where you are supposed to take your time, enjoy playing it with your friends or on your own and basically just have a fun time.

And for that matter: The OP "finished" the entire game, did all the pursuits, got all the gold medals and so on and on in four days? Sorry if I'm skeptical, to say the least. He probably reached max level in four days, but finish the game? Is that even possible?

you get 5000 ego to say "im better than you" why dont you people understand?
Uhmm, but technically you arent better than anyone. How can you be with so much balance in the game, Isnt a high ego rating nothing more than a fluff number? The game is confusing, if im ego 5000 shouldnt i be ROLFPWN'in everyone and anything??..Should i constantly keep glancing at the pursuit list to see what they want me to do? Isnt that a great concept..the pursuit list i mean...a list that tell me if i want to be ego 5000, i must obey the list even if it requires me doing somthing i have no desire to do or use (i.e infector)..

I guess it ok to have a list in the game that determines my overall strength and progression, so long as your not ego 5000 theres always something to do right?

unfortunately i have to agree with the op, there is little content in the game as it is now but i do belive that the game was launched on the 2nd as sort of a pre_release to the original launch wich will take place on the 15th when the show launches, and also we've been prommised a big patch on that date, until then level your weapons, the game's lack of content more than makes up for in gameplay (at least for me)

Game needs more depth in the item system and character progression system. PvP is fun but searching for loot is dumb because the loot is all the same. The stats are meaningless.

You'll find that the bonus stats will get better as we get higher in EGO. Looking at weapons from 150 EGO and say 500 EGO there isn't going to be huge increases when the cap is currently 5000. Besides weapons become more powerful as we gain weapon class levels.

how come everyone wants to be OP as a motivation to be 5000 ego? ego is like xbox's gamerscore.

So you have had 4 days of quality game play for £35, with more content on the way.

Spoiled much? Most Single player games offer less, yet people are content with that offering.... MMO kids have such a ridiculous sense of entitlement, its No wonder companies are loathe to bother trying to create anything but a WoW clone...

So you knowingly bought an MMO game.. yet, you do not want to grind?

    Hmm...

Maybe you should rethink your logic, before saying a game is incomplete.

The theory is that to truly be at the endgame of Defiance you would need to be at 5000 EGO with at least one weapon skill maxed and a high EGO rated weapon that has a great synergy which is also active with all the right mods.

Not to mention all of the pursuits finished.

That would be the equivalent of finishing the endgame of any other MMO. If the OP isn't interested in that, that is his choice. But there have been many times in other MMOs where people have gotten to max level only to complain that there is nothing to do...
