[QUOTE=Misto29;230383]How in the world did you finish the game in four days???? DO you not have a life? And have you forgot about the fact the game is linked to a show with the same name? That should give you a hint that not all of the content is going to be put out at release. And as tinytina said there is still stuff to do in the game. Do us all a favor, think before you post and remember there is a reason everything is not released on the first DAY!!!!!!
Do US a favor - get a life yourself - I agree w/ Misto - Game sucks.
Do us a favor - save your psychotherapy for yourself
I've learned a lot about online gaming since 1989 and one thing I've learned is to slow down and enjoy the run, being over zealous gets you know where fast except to head to the forums to complain and start flame wars.
I remember when Dungeons & Dragons Online released max level was 10 though I ran through all the quests I had a lot of fun making new characters in different builds to try cause I knew eventually new content and levels would arrive some day.
World of Warcraft had a following from the Pen & Paper games and the MSDOS versions had their followers it had a lot of backstory and content that eventually made it into an MMO, I closed Beta tested it and I didn't particulary care for the cartoon type graphics and the color coordination of armor pieces but over all it was amusing.
I enjoyed Rift immensely but after 2 months I got bored and moved on but I eventually find myself going back to see what's new.
Defiance is fun and has no monthly subscription so you paid and you've played not like you can't come back in a month and see what has been changed and added or that you need cancel a sub it's yours play it when you want to.
If you read what the game was about then you should have known that were only in Episode 1 of the game and that we'll get Episode 2 at a later date probably when the show air's, though SyFy has a terrible habit of airing things out of order don't be surprised if were watching episode 4 and then a week later episode 2 and then the pilot, hehe.
But lighten up slow down and just enjoy the run no sense in staying awake 19 hours a day drinking energy drinks and eating pizza's to play this game, just have fun play something else for a short time and then come back here.
I play this game and new run of Dragon Age: Origins just to keep me interested in Defiance.
A limited amount of content is a limited amount of content. Whether or not someone consumes all the content in an epic 96 hour gaming session or 4 hours a day for 24 days that doesn't really change. You can try to sit on some moral high horse and proclaim someone shouldn't go all out on the game but that just makes you look like a ****** bag.
Game designers should know that just because you add something doesn't mean people are going to chase it. I know people who hate achievements and don't care about them. I know others who can't stand PvP. I know countless who refuse to raid on any level. Just because you can rattle off a list of features that some people will enjoy and take part of means that there's something people will want to do.
That said they still manage to surprise me how unfinished the end product is. There's so many technical issues (revolving around matchmaking, phasing, etc) and so many exploitable avenues it's insane. Talk to the alpha and beta people and they say they posted and gave feedback on all these issues the entire time as well. Personally I'm unimpressed but thankfully went into this venture with the bar set so low that it'd be impossible to meet.
