This thread reminds me of the 5 stages of grief (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%BCbler-Ross_model). Those defending the shortcomings of the game are still in denial. Some critics are in the anger phase and I see quite some bargaining taking place. Pursuits and ego progression as content, cute idea.

Myself, I am long in the state of acceptance. Some month of alpha/beta clearly demonstrated what to expect. This is not Rift and I am not taking a rain check on future content as it may never materialize. So this is not such a great game maybe and the TV tie not amounting to much. I knew that and still am enjoying what is there.

Yup,he played how he WANTED to,then proceeded to come onto the forums to ***** about lack of content? looks like he picked the wrong playstyle,no reason to come here and complain about it, obvious attention *****. He's prob one of the types that puts farewell threads on forums for MP games he doesent play anymore,to see if anyone will miss him.

Ive prob played this game far more than he has,and i have 20+ side missions on my map i still havent even done, + whatever remaining story missions i have, + all the rampages/hotshots/races i want to complete. almost at 500 Ego,and still having a blast. any smart person would keep it slow, and steady,so the content stays way ahead of me.

No one complained because the comparison is not applicable. The only reason you're even trying to compare Defiance to another game is because it can't even stand on it's own merits.

    Please stop embarrassing yourself.

Name one MMO that has an endgame that's nothing more than a grind.

you don't mmo very much do you. You sound completely ignorant to how this whole thing works. So you only like 1 aspect of a game, take the down time to figure out another aspect of it or be social in it you sound ridiculous. No the developers didn't mean for you to play straight through this they left enough content in there to lead up to the show most likely and when the show comes out there will likely be a few more main missions. Look at the arkfalls and you always have your skills to level up and play around in pvp. If you don't like the cloaked people take the decoy and perk that reveals cloaked people... that was hard man so freaking hard.

Life called it says you have been ignoring it too much lately.

if you are playing this like a Gears of War you are going to be disappointed or an Army of Two. AND TO BE HONEST THOSE GAMES HAD LESS STORY THAN WHAT WAS RELEASED WITH THIS GAME SO GET OVER YOURSELF

I suggest that anyone who has beaten the campaign and all the side missions already to go outside for some fresh air and perhaps socialize with some people, maybe even go do something with someone outside your home. I'm just saying, gaming all day everyday will ruin your social life and nine times out of ten, ruins relationships. So in short, go outside, go fresh air, socialize, spend time with girlfriend/wife/wife's sister/the goat, whichever provides you your nookie :P
