This may come off as... Not a particularly bright question, however, concerning expos, are we able to rejoin an expo during a boss fight?

I was playing last night and my system froze while I was in the boss room before the fight. So I rip out the cord of my ps3 (yes that's the only way, Defiance freezes are among the worst) and get back in game. As I understood it, we were able to rejoin should we be back within 5 minutes or less.

So I tried rejoining the match but it said I couldn't. You get that boss room notice that doesn't say its a boss room, just that you can't join. Anyhow, I had tried to rejoin within my 5 minutes and couldn't, but the other 2 players that had disconnected got back in with the player that didn't get disconnected or froze.

So how did they get in if I couldn't? I know I didn't take longer than 5 minutes. And they weren't in the boss room before they disconnected. Sooooo, was there a glitch allowing them to join? If not, would It be possible to remove the whole "you can't join during boss room" thing? I find it rather annoying and disruptive.

Yea i kinda had the same thing happen but once the actual group leader let the match-end timer run out i was able to rejoin their group... seems that if someone leaves the group or match after killing the boss it doesn't affect them on their end but everyone else sees them as a missing group member and can't rejoin... er.. sumthin along those lines ...

If you aren't at the proper round you'll get t3s and t4s anyway, so I see no argument as to why it shouldn't be allowed. And why should that matter? If you invited them, would it not be okay for those players? And 9/10 times people run in full groups for expo because of the difficulty. So if someone Disconnects and losses they're reqs to get to the pinnacle of expo success only to have it squandered by a disconnect or hard freeze they deserve to miss out? Hardly fair play.

3rd round in with friends at over tier 30 in war below spent a good bit and loading screen to the boss sudden xbox live disconnect no lag no nothing just sudden cut off and didnt allow be back in with them. if nothing else it should be allowed for an existing player if with friends to group you into the boss fight. ive had more than 100 rounds lost to disconnects hard freezes and other nonsense losing countless "rewards" 2 weeks and not 1 oj in alcatraz over tier 30.

I think if they made Warmaster possible to invite in after the "doors closes" then, why not expos? They are no difference save the use of Hunter reqs.

With the new extension to the expedition reset along with the quality of life updates in bug bash it is now possible to rejoin a group you were part of in coops or expos. So if you get disconnected (even during the boss fight) you just have to log back in and quick join and the system will find your previous group for you. Happened to me last night and I was able to get back to the group with the boss halfway dead.

It"s true i was there Ea was the only member of the group that couldn't get back in and we were in the boss room, My theory is that Ea was the only one to restart the PS3 (As if there was any option, I too am plagued by hard freezes)

Sorry I don't have an answer but I can confirm that it can work properly. Shortly after the update I was in an exped with MM and he DC'd loading into the boss fight and was able to rejoin us after he logged back in.
