I got the fight on my first try while at the same time talking to a friend that was struggling as you are. There are certain things that can make the fight easy or difficult. I think I just managed to make the right moves at the right time. It is also a long fight, so it's not going to be a quick in and out.

I thought the fight was a great technical breakdown of the different things you encounter in the game. And it is in no way the "END" boss as we are going to see more episodic content + DLC continuing on from there. I enjoyed it and will continue to do so for long to come. Just wish we could replay it over and over :-).

Try using defensive perks instead. That should help a bit.

Yes, Mad Skills is needed. But you make it seem so hard. LMAO. I beat it like 2 days ago, and my bro beat it yesterday. The last boss is fine. They should just leave it be. Is challenging and you learn something new. Again, try something else. I'm trying to go at this with out any spoiler.. If you do beat him.. and then die on the next phase. You continue on that 2nd phase. So, good luck. Show us that you have Mad Skills J00!

I am going to look past the dwarf language because you obviously fail at it.

I'ts easy to avoid the aoe he does. Same with the shots he does to. Just straife right and left and run in circles or whatever when he is about to shoot the single shots. When he fly to the air he is about to fire the 3(?) huge fireballs, just roll left or right when he is in the air and is about to fire and the balls will hit the last spot you where on (the balls won't reach you). Phase 3 shouldn't have to be explained, just stay run behind the pilars everytime he ports and spray him when shield's are down from behind the pilar.

Everything in this fight is to predictable. You know 5 seconds before he does anything what he is going to do. Yes idied once every phase, but that's because i didn't know the fight, then i learned.

Just fail, die and practise like the rest of us and stop complaining.

Defensive perks and LoS the crap out of him when / if you can. When he does his "charged" charge attack, either be behind him, or have him LoS'd so he can't see you (be on the same side of the room as him hidden behind the curve part of the wall in the center). If he can see you during that phase of attack, he will hit you no matter what (even in cloak). So just try to LoS him when ya can.

Since there are many threads on how easy / hard / to kill the boss, that's easy enough:

In P1 just dont go near him. When he charges up his speed dash, you have to time your dodge just right. Too early and he re-targets and you get hit anyway, too late and you're too late to avoid the damage.

In P2 you have to kill his mirrors no matter where they are. If you hit him that is bonus damage, but make sure you're just hitting everything. Mirrors deal full damage so its best to take them out as well.

Make sure you kill as many of his mirrors on the ledges as possible. If you get lucky and hit him he comes down immediately and does not launch his swords (which is pretty deadly and hard to dodge).

In P3 if he floats up too close to you, RUN. He's probably doing his ground slam which will hit you even behind a pillar. If you're far enough, get behind the pillar and it will not hit you. If he does his float up and launches projectiles, again, pillar humping is plenty to avoid that.

I thought it was a pretty decently tuned fight. It seems like it would be challenging no matter what kind of weapon you have, or your skill level, but I can see if you're using a particularly difficult weapon to use against him + you're not the most skilled gamer (I know I am not, I readily admit that) it could be rough. Don't give up, when you beat him it will make it worth every hour!

I'm not madly skilled either, I die every now and then during missions, yet I beat Nim. You dont have to be a gaming god to beat him, you just need to rethink your spec, choice of weapon and adapt them to the boss. Furthermore you need to learn his mechanics, they are really quite simple once you understand them. Most games are like that, learn and adapt in order to progress in the game.

Invent a time machine, go back to 1991, play battletoads all the way through and beat it.

As time progresses from that point on, you will notice that games become easier, and easier, and easier.

You have infinite ammo during the fight from the blue boxes. Just go all out and get a detonator or rocket launcher and just bunny hop around like its COD if you want EZ mode.

All these posts about Spec X and spec Y and what weapons you need are all BS, anyone can do this boss with no ego powers or perks and just use a BMG or pistol or whatever the worst weapon in the game is, all you have to learn is the mechanics ( OH NO LOOK UNDER ME! THERE ARE MS PAINT HEXAGONS LIGHTING UP! I WONDER IF I STAND IN THEM DO I GET A UBER POWER BUFF?)

I really hope to see harder content than nim in the future, and I also hope trion learns that the majority of its players have the skill level that doesnt tolerate them loosing, ever, and thus just makes the content completely optional ( maybe like for a car color or hat or some other BS ).
