Nim boss is annoying as hell because it's still bugged.. When you get hit you'll see the options to self revive or extract, the buttons still seem to not work correctly, why give the option of self reviving or extracting when your then instantly taken out of the level to start it over again...??

Respark Shield, Infector, and some good defensive perks to stay mobile and healthy. Even if it did take forever to kill him.

The boss fight was lame. It was too easy. You need to learn to use your environment. Use the pillars at the later phases and dodge at the first phase. There's like 50 guides out there telling u how to do it

All games made in the US these days are a joke in difficult (At least Japanese games still sometimes challenge us). They have been dumb down to cater to the ignorant masses. Don't make this game have to lower it's standards because you don't want to learn something. Become a better gamer. If a game isn't a challenge you aren't learning anything or gaining any skill. You are just going through the motions. You shouldn't do that with life. In the old days games punished you for not having skill. You died. But you practiced, you struggled to learn, and you became a better problem solver for it.

I didn't look up any guide to beat Nim. Hell I beat him with an AR I got in very beginning of the game and forgot it was on as I was leveling it. He wasn't that hard. Sure I died a few times, as I learned what he did. But after that I killed him with little to no hits. Most of it was common sense.

He shots crap at you, you dodge to the left or right (roll or run)
He charges you, you dodge to the side
He shoots multiple things at you, you take cover (there are pillars and other things to hide behind)
He stomps the ground, you make sure you have enough safe distance away

These are mechanics that are unique to this game, they are common sense mechanics that anyone who plays shooters or MMO's should know by now. And if this is your first MMO then it's time you learn some simple MMO mechanics.

I only hope for the sake of saving this games reputation, there will new areas of the map opening up with more complex fights. MMO's typically have much harder bosses. I remember the first time going through Ulduar in WoW. That was interesting and actually seemed like they were trying to finally make a great dungeon where people actually had to learn. Loved every minute of it. I only hope the same for this game.

I beat Nim the last boss awhile ago and if you need any help or tips on it let me know. I found that using an weapon like the pistol or explosive weapon type was best because he moves around... ALOT so the weapon you should have needs to do tons of BURST damage in a short amount of time and also you need to be pretty mobile. Try to LOS (line of sight) him around the pillars when he turns red and does the jump / stomp things. if you need anything lese add me in-game for tips

i killed nim first try.... freakin first try because that encounter is way too easy!

it is a scripted encounter without variation.... nim just does a circle with his abilitys... it wasn´t even challenging for me....

If my wife could beat him as a first time FPS player and VERY casual gamer, then anyone can with enough patience and effort.

I apologize if this sounds like I am ripping on my wife, but I am surely not. I was very excited for her when she finally beat him a few hours ago. She was shaking and screaming in excitement. She would have never experienced such excitement if he was easy as is the case in most games meant for mass markets now a days. Personally, I want to say thank you Trion and the Defiance team for having him be such a unique challenge.
maybe i should try this with my wife her FPS experience amounts to Devil may cry and resident evil both heavy aim assisted games and she still runs around looking at the ground.....
