    My PS3 PVP Feedback

So, I recently started playing Defiane again and pvp. Specifically Freight Yard. Probably needless to say but the experience was a bit confusing. My main toon is 6k ego. I noticed the common weapon of choice are blast rifles and it seems that nothing I use can kill hardly anyone. Which brings me to a list of questions. How am I, a 6k ego player with some of the best gear for pvp (and I thought skill) being killed by lower ego players? My shield cap is over 30k but a blue shield is stronger? What's with the super blur? How can a player be fighting 4 players at 1 time aiming at them and still be shooting me? My last match I was using a Feaster MK II epic modded properly and x3 damage top notch boomer. My shield is a 3 plate Darkest Hour. Originally I was perked for cloak but switched it for blur. Coming off the spawn I used ablative armor an was killed with 2 detenator grenades once I landed and took a few steps. When I respawned I looked the player up and saw someone at a much lower ego but using a supreme boomer.

Now, it seems to me that a player with less ego should be doing less damage and even taking more damage because well, that's how it would work if it was reality. In fact, this is how it was working before the changes. Furthermore, this blast rifle thing is way out of control. How can someone defend with the nano visual effect blinding you from view of the shooter? Not to mention the "other" shennanigans that are still in pvp.

I used to really like freight yard but now it just seems impossible to enjoy. I've talked to a few clanmates and some other players and it seems like I'm not the only one who doesn't like this new pvp. There is more I want to write but I have to find a way to put it constructive.

There was a pvp nerf not to long ago. Think of it like the game before update 5.5(that was the scaling update i think) and i suggest treating everything like it's a wild pig trapped too long in a pen.

spray and praying doesnt work anymore. you have to really get a headshot with a surge bolter now . or any sniper. you can still kill people with a boomer it just takes more bombs and better aim to kill some1 now. shields. ha ha . what shields with electric nano . everyone is doing 6k ego damage numbers , even low egos with blues , greens , and white guns. and everyone is doing 65% less damage , except you still do 100% damage to yourself with nades , rls and boomers, get new pvp gear , a pulsar , blast rifle ,and learn how to aim better

This is it. everyone is 6k ego in pvp...even a pve 100 ego toon. All non-crit dmg was nerfed by 65%, plate durability has gone out the window (massive reduction), electric is the new killer syn because it destroys shields and effectively blinds your opponent and kills their aim, crit shots were super buffed so get a sniper and/or aim better with a strong, fast shooting smg or blast rifle, or learn to use other weapons creatively. There's a blur glitch now too, so if you see someone blurring then don't waste your ammo because they don't take any damage (there's a 50/50 chance that the player is glitched). Oh, the Cerberus was buffed a bit too supposedly but it still doesn't take much to kill it. Bunny hoppers are as prevalent as ever...maybe more so now. Good luck if you run into a blurred hopper...you will die if you are not glitched yourself.

Oh, and those blue shields you mention can be obtained by replaying season 2. You get a green ironclad with elec resist and a green rhino with fire resist. Upgrade to blues and you're done. This is NOT a bug, the devs have confirmed this...

Thanks for the feedback. I noticed a lot has changed. Seems like for the worse. 100 ego player should be 100 ego damage not 6k ego damage. Just my opinion. Maybe pvp should have been like co ops. You can't do expert until you reach that level.

Yeah tiered pvp was suggested but for whatever reason it's not feasible. Apparently there's concern that no one would try pvp at lower tiers.

It was just the opposite. Pvp use to be internally tiered. If you were high ego you could not find a pvp match unless you joined on a low ego friend. Back then all guns did the same damage regardless of ego level. The only difference was perks you had unlocked and nade dmg and shield capacity.

I meant that when I suggested having a tiered system where 3 levels exist: newbie zone, intermediate zone, and no crybaby zone. Players can choose to enter the levels above their experience, but not below. For instance, using an arbitrary number of hours invested in pvp, let's say someone with 25 hours in pvp would only be allowed to play in the no crybaby zone. Someone with (25-X) to 24:59:59 hours would only be able to choose intermediate and no crybaby zones while someone with 0 to (25-X-1 second) would be able choose any zone at their own peril.

The idea being that newbies will be able to play others at their levels without having to worry about getting pasted every time they load by pvp pros while also giving them the opportunity to learn from them if they so choose. This would also separate the real pvp pros from the posers who just prey on the weak and underskilled. If you're a pro in a sea of newbs you're padding your k/d...pros only theoretically would show who the true killers are.

I believe when I suggested this people mentioned that the newb zone would be a ghost town. I would think a system like this would allow those who hate pvp to less frustratingly get their pvp pursuits done (while maybe even building a newfound love for pvp as they'll get to live long enough to learn and develop their "skillz").

I think there's enough high ego pvpers out there now who could populate the no crybaby zone enough to have a good time. Plus, this system wouldn't take ego into consideration. You can have 50 hours of pvp behind you and not be near 5k ego if you choose.

Edit: autocorrect hates me...fixed errors that made no sense

Thanks, if only you made the decisions... lol

Edit: don't know how hard it would be to implement but I would think it should be pretty simple. 3 different shares for pvp really is all that's needed.
