I know generally why the game is no longer fulfilling for 6k players.
I wanted his experiences of the game and why he felt that there was nothing more to do.

I know you don't particularly want to create a new character but try something I'm doing at the moment.
Start a new character that's only allowed to use white weapons.
It gives you a challenge in the pve world again and believe it or not it's reasonably easy to achieve top tier rewards at sieges and incursions.
Major arkfalls are a bit harder to earn keys and forge at but doable.

Give it a try if you've nothing better to do.
