its loot. you suppose to keep farming him, to get better loot. Farming = repeately beating the boss over and over til good loot drops
do you mean the bosses in Co-op?
I don't know why they didn't make them drop loot, you'd think they would, but they didn't. They just make the match end as soon as you kill them.

The loot that he drops (if any) gets added to your inventory after the coop ends and your back to the main area.
