    I would suggest changing it to healing, that encourages people to try keep each other alive, rather then hoping that people will die, which is pretty ****ed up lol.

    Though I would also suggest the kills is changed to a high damage number, currently it encourages people to just farm the mobs rather then focusing on the boss/crystal which is quite a weird system.

    I remember that in the beta, when occasionally I decided to just play a support and help out by healing, I was usually in the top 3 on the rank list even when there were a minimum of 50 people around. When the game went live though, not so much anymore. You don't seem to get rewarded for healing anymore when in beta you did.

    I know the point of the Arkfalls is kind of to try and score the best you can for a better payday. But without everyone doing what they have to do to stay alive and destroy whatever the Arkfall contains; truth is people won't even be able to finish it. It still does require some sort of "teamwork". By healing people you make sure they don't die so they will remain to be able to do damage. That should be rewarded because with everyone dead (in a matter of speaking), nobody's gonna loot the Arkfall.

    The big goal in arkfalls is to get the kill-shot on the boss, major xp win, I've seen a few people go down in an arkfall, but it's pretty rare, still need to get 5 revives for the pursuit and I don't see it happening soon. But in general, medics have no real place in arkfalls, it's all about the killin.

    i have always chosen to heal in arkfalls at least the majors and all through alpha/beta and even pre first patch live i also always scored in the top 5 often 1st and second but always top 5 then they patched and changed heals to revives and now im luck to even be in the viable ranks as scrolling the list dosen't work anymore either so i for one would like to know if this was an intentional nerf or did the fixes break it on accident? as it is now i no longer fell any incentive at all to fill a supporting roll anymore

    I agree to the OP. I just did an co-op with some randoms (my EGO rating is over 500 and theirs around 350ish) and at the end I was last on the list as i spent most of the time saving there butts... and just before i left i was called a noob and a f-ing idiot player cos of my EGO rating and that i was last... this isn't nice to hear... Trion you need to put the healing up there also please. even if it doesn't get taken into consideration for loot i don't care, but having other people see that you where healing all the time needs be shown.

    Mobs' hitpoints scale based on amount of players in the area. If you don't shoot - someone have to do you part of killing work. I.e. whole thing will take much more time.

    Shoot stuff or you are an abuse. It's online *shooter* - not "online medic".

    (same for PvP)

    Ignorance is BLISS on these forums sometimes; such as this statement. YES, while I WILL agree with you that any other "online-shooter", with, or w/o, Co-op, that does NOT have "medics" or "healers" incorporated into them, does NOT mean that this game DOESN'T need them.

    First off, this game is a hybrid of both an online shooter and mmo. That being said, it is incorporated into the game for players to have the ability to heal, and for that, you CAN'T dismiss the NEED for having a "medic" in large player populated Ark Falls, and PvP, depending on the scenario you're in. Stating that "IF you don't shoot-someone have to do you part of killing work. I.e. whole thing will take much more time" is a contradicting logic, simply because of the fact that having that many players, will also cause that many issues. By this I mean, reason one, that you will ALSO cause; like you stated, "Mobs' hitpoints scale based on amount of players in the area", hence, causing players to also run out of ammo more quickly. Since there's the issue we've have in the game, with areas NOT having enough close vicinity supply depots, also factors into not doing enough damage to the mobs, in the set amount of time, occasionally.

    Secondly, with the above being stated, you will also cause ppl to not be able to deal enough damage sometimes by having to resort to stopping and switching out a Load-out(granted IF they where smart enough to do so) in the middle of a fight, and ppl having to either sit there and take damage wile they do this, or run away; once again, more time wasted, not enough dps on the mobs.

    Lastly, coupled with the above reasons, and having to do achieve VICTORY on the field, the MAJOR reason WHY you NEED a "medic", is when you run into those groups of ppl that are close to death, or DIED, from the large "cluster-f%^k explosions", will make you wish that you HAD a "medic"; to either rez, or heal them up, still causing to take time to do, ANYWAY!

    All these little things, adds up to needing a "medic" in this game, to ensure that we're able to conquer an Ark Fall, or drawn out PvP match, when the above issues arise.

    To be honest I don't think "medics" have a place in Defiance thus far. Even in Coop-missions which are probably the best place for medics it's usually like this: You kill mobs a lot slower with a medic trying to "heal" all the time. That makes you actually take more dmg and the dungeon a lot longer.

    I can handle myself and wont die if I play properly (except if I go full crazy jump around and try to point blank stuff with sawed off shot gun). Having someone trying to heal just slows everything down so much.

    They removed the healing column from the Arkfall scores a while back in Alpha, and added the revives column that shows wrong. Before that Healing used to score more then damage. The Whole Arkfall results page though is partially broken, the scroll hasnt worked in ages so you can only see the top 16 people.

    So why do medics get the shaft?
    First off there is no classes in Defiance your an Ark hunter you either adapt or die.
    Second that weapon I find more usefull when you use it to back up your team or group that is hammering down on a boss or arkcore.
    Finally Defiance has no class system.
