i take back what i said about buying only tier 4 boxes. my second purchase yielded two green shotguns, a green shield, and a blue shotgun lol tier 3 here i come!

do you mean orange if so then they come from loot boxes all of which have same ratios os 3 is best for price and mobs drop them too (rare)

Not so on the drop rate there. Tier 4 has the best orange rate. Tier 3 has less than a 1% chance, although it is still all RNG. I've personally had no luck on anything other than Tier 4 myself.

Personally, the color of the weapon have no effect on the stats of the weapon (dmg, crit, clip..etc). It only come with additional synergy stats which I feel it is useless at the moment, cause you have only 1 in a million chance to find the right synergy with the right mod for the right weapon. I have burned hundreds keys and thousands scraps on the synergy mod boxes, and most you will get is Brutal (adding melee damage) , which I have never seen on a weapon synergy yet. So IMO dont waste your resources on the boxes just yet.

QFT! The color code has to do with the rarity of the item, NOT it's usefulness. We are sorta used to the idea from other games that as the rarity increases, so does the utility. (*cough* WoW). But in Defiance, there is not much difference between Green, Blue, Purple, and Orange. Defiance is not a gear based game.

I'm currently @ 445 EGO, started opening Tier 3 lock boxes as soon as I had enough keys. I have received 3 orange, 0 DMG, Infectors a couple purple shields, a purple handgun and a bunch of blue junk.

Im at level 500 and have around 10 orange weapons. I feel like im the luckiest man alive when i read these posts... all from tier 4 lockboxes. I seem to get one out of every two to three boxes.

I'm in the mid-600s and have been buying tons of lock boxes. I finally got an orange last night in a Level 2 Lock Box. It was a sweet Semi-Auto Sniper!!!!!!

I had opened like 20+ T4 Lockboxes, 10 T3 Lockboxes and 15+ T2 Lockboxes and so far i've gotten 5 orange weapons so they are very rare.

t3 box dont wqork for me ive opened plenty of them, so i swich to t4 and HOLY GRAIL

Out of the 200 lock boxes I bought I only got one legendary and even then my green weapon was more powerful then that pos.
